Trinity Episcopal Cemetery

We will meet at the Broadway cemetery on the road in between the graveyards. After a brief introduction, the tour will start. We will start at the trinity episcopal cemetery where we will see the grave of a murderer buried with her victims, a slain mardi gras queen, a civil war general, as well as a few notable figures from Galveston's history.

Old City Cemetery

We will then move to the old city cemetery across the street, a cemetery populated by the grave of the Galveston yellow fever plague, as well as the oldest cemetery in Galveston, being 200 years old. There we will see sunken mausoleums, the graves of plague victims, as well as learn the legend of Nicaragua Smith, who is buried there in an unmarked grave after being executed. Tour ends back at the cars.
