Right from the start at check-in, I was unimpressed. I'm a Choice Club member, and reserved the room in my name. My partner, however, used her credit card to pay. For whatever reason, the hotel never processed her credit card, so they said she had not prepaid. Duh, that was not her fault, as she made the reservation weeks ago. Anyway, the lady at the desk said she was confused, and she called her manager. What for? The manager apparently said to process the card, and of course, the payment was made. They made the point that although the reservation was made in my name, I would not collect any points since my partner just used her credit card. OK, not a game changer We got into our room, and the first thing we see are big carpet stains. I then noticed an electrical cord hanging over a desk that apparently connected to nothing. An HDMI cord was also hanging from the TV. As long as the TV worked, I was still satisfied. Within half an hour, we noticed that wind seemed to be coming from the window. We pulled the curtain back and saw where the window was broken in two places. We pressed the window in so that the wind was minimized. Soon it was time for bed. I opened the drawer by the bed to put my phone there, and what did I find? A condom! Guess the previous guest wanted a sense of safety and security. Finally, the next morning, I went to the small coffee maker to start a brew, only to find a used coffee pod still in the basket. Not a huge deal there, but before I took a shower, I found no hair dryer, so had to obtain one from the front desk. Yes, our favorite desk attendant did provide that. I went back to the room to hang up more clothes in the closet, and my partner asked if the hangers had clips on them to hang pants. Well, of course not! All in all, this was not especially a good hotel find. I now have read so many other reviews of this place that sounded much worse than my review. Since the manager responds to every post, he surely must know by now that he is not improving things.
