Fairfield Inn by Marriott JFK Airport

I had a fantastic experience at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott near JFK Airport! From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and stress-free. The shuttle service to and from the airport was incredibly convenient and reliable, making my arrival and departure seamless. The room was spotless, spacious, and had all the amenities I needed for a restful night’s sleep. What really stood out to me was the hospitality of the team—they were friendly, professional, and quick to assist with any requests. The complimentary breakfast was a great start to the day, with a nice selection of options, from fresh fruit to hot items. Also, for an airport hotel, it was remarkably quiet, allowing me to unwind after a long flight. Whether you’re just passing through or planning to stay a bit longer, I highly recommend this Fairfield Inn. It’s a great mix of convenience, comfort, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip!

Biggest problem : i might miss my flight because of the stupid shuttle. If the driver don’t feel like it, he won’t bring you to your terminal. Also : noisy and ugly neighborhood.

Firstly, I would like to say that if this issue is put right as promised, I will in turn remove this review. We stayed for one night at the end of a 10 day stay in New York. Unfortunately, due to poor staff training, guests were given a key to our occupied room in the middle of the night. This led to strangers being able to access our room whilst we were sleeping. This caused a great deal of stress and alarm, not to mention the safety and security implications of this. I contacted reception to express my shock and the receptionist seemed exacerbated and did apologise. The next morning, we asked to speak to a manager and the person on reception had no record of this serious event and it took a few hours for them to understand or be able to find the manager. In fairness, the manager did offer her apologies and said our stay would be refunded (which I have a record of). Unfortunately, no refund has ever been received hence me writing this review. Further to this, we were offered a late check out of 4pm when checking in. We received an abrupt and curt phone call at 12pm asking us to vacate our room. When I explained we had been given the late check out, the staff member became rude and (without doing so directly) accused us of lying as such a late check out is not hotel policy. There is a worrying lack of training and guidance of staff members, to which the manager suggested would result in staff being fired, which is worryingly heavy handed. The hotel itself wasn’t the cleanest, but was modern and well located . But guests should be careful at check in to confirm they are given the correct rooms and get late check ins agreed in writing.
