Location excellent. v close to cruise terminals. nicely situated on waterfront. MUCH better than being in downtown. downtown long beach is deserted and not safe…..even the uber drovers dont like going there. clean. modest breakfast available gratis. got a good vibe

I am absolutely furious about the horrendous experience my 82-year-old mother had at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Long Beach on February 23, 2024. She was electrically shocked while staying at your hotel due to water spewing from the light switch as she reached to turn on the light in the bathroom area. The lack of maintenance and care for guest safety is absolutely unacceptable. When we notified the front desk about the incident, the young male receptionist had no clue how to handle the situation and even had the audacity to suggest calling the police. We requested a maintenance person, but were told that none were available late at night. My parents were left with no solution and were offered no alternative room to stay in. They had to shower in the dark and clean in the kitchen area the next morning due to the lack of proper response and assistance from your staff. I am beyond disappointed with the level of service and care my parents received during their stay at your hotel. The safety and well-being of guests should be the top priority, and it is evident that this was not the case in this situation. I have filed an incident report with corporate regarding the incident at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Long Beach, but have not received any response. My 82-year-old mother's safety was compromised due to the electrical shock caused by water spewing from the light switch in the bathroom area. Despite this alarming situation, we were never compensated for the distress and inconvenience caused during our stay. It is extremely disappointing that despite my efforts to address the issue with corporate, no action has been taken to rectify the situation. I expect a resolution to this matter immediately, as the lack of concern for guest safety and well-being is completely unacceptable. It is imperative that this matter is addressed promptly and that appropriate measures are taken to ensure the safety of all guests at your establishment.

We arrived around noon and we were able to checkin which was great, didn’t have to wait until 4. This enable us to go grab some lunch and walk around Downtown Long Beach. If you are taking a cruise this is where you can want to stay at. It’s about 15 minutes walk to the port if you want to walk it, 10 minutes over the bridge and you are in Downtown Long Beach, where all the restaurants are located at. When we do come back we will be staying here again. Friendly staff and good breakfast.
