The Estate Yountville

Facility needs renovation. Furniture is old and suites are awkwardly laid out. You need to walk thru bedroom to get to living room and bath !!! No desk in suites!!! Staff friendly & property beautiful. Breakfast was included for us and was very nice.

One word. AMAZING!

HVAC went out right after we checked in, within a few hours. Fantastic staff. Exceptional Napa county hospitality. The room did have a single trash can that’s awfully small, another very small one in the bathroom, the clothes rack is external and small (can’t hang dresses), and there’s really no where to put your suitcases or clothes. That’s a bit awkward- maybe get luggage racks? Make the closet space not connected to food? The landscapers did start early every day which was not so cool since our windows were open because no AC. Housekeeping did a fair job, turn down service every night. However- we did have ants in bathroom that had to be taken care when we got there after we saw them, facilities sprayed Raid while we were there, but they kept coming back and that was that. So we did have them the entire stay. Also, maybe don’t spray Raid while the room is occupied- it drove us out of the room. If you don’t do well with inconvenience or disruptions on your vacation- find somewhere else. We would come back but at a discount or promotion or free nights. Would not come back at full price or at a basic discount- just too many one off things that didn’t sit well overall. Worth the $5900 we paid? No. We did the Costco travel deals and now I understand the why they’re on there. It’s really not that 5/5 star hotel experience they’re trying to sell. Boutique, yes. Nice pool, sure. Walkable to everything, yup. Worth the money, no. Even with amazing service, I just can’t justify 4 stars- need to stick with 3 overall. Rooms: Weird closet space, no HVAC, cool bathrooms, pillows were awful, bed was comfy, no where to put luggage. Nearby activities: Everything in Napa Safety: Safe area for sure, hotel does have a security team. Walkability: Walkable to everything in town. Easy on the bike trail. Food & drinks: Delicious foods to eat. Do the free breakfast continental style. $24 for a mimosa? Pass. Drinks were very expensive- go across the street to RO, or anywhere else. Noteworthy details: No HVAC in our hotel block, they gave us fans to plug in. Fans needed cleaned, very dusty and dirty.
