Overpriced and non-informative. This trip was way more compared to other trips doing the same route. We were left to explore Monterey Fisherman's Wharf on our own, the same at Monterey Bay and Carmel-by-the-sea. We were allowed 90min at Monterey bay to explore with no recommendations or advice if where to go. I end up going to Tourist Info myself to gather more info and where to find a public toilet. The coastal drive was beautiful and we were given a bit more info on the drive. When we were left again just to explore by ourselves in Carmel-by-the-sea, I asked the guide for recommendations and he just pointed in a general direction and said "just go down here on the main street." Unfortunately the van broke down at the end of the trip and I must give credit to the driver who acted promptly to arrange a Uber to get us back to San Franfrisco with little delay. This was the worst non-informative overpriced trip ever regardless of the beautiful 17 Mile drive.

Our tour guide Jerry was caring, accommodating, and knowledgeable. He was trilingual (English, Cantonese and Mandarin) and shared interesting information about the sites. We left the tour to visit Monterey Bay Aquarium when we were in Monterey. Jerry was very accommodating, letting us know how long we could spend in the aquarium and where to meet them. With his help on planning, we did not miss Carmel and 17 Mile Drive. He even asked us if he could order lunch for us. We had frequent bathroom break as the drive from SF to Monterey was about 1.5 hrs. It was a wonderful experience and recommend if you want to visit Monterey but don't have car.

Driver demanded everyone pay him a service tip half way through the day, and refused to drive until he had been paid. He then drove home very dangerously - multiple near misses with other cars.

Good variety of places to visit. Tour operator was safe, considerate, and worked hard to stick to the schedule. The guide seemed to be chosen due to his ability to speak multiple languages, but didn't really have much information to convey about the various stops. I didn't learn much, but we did get to visit a good selection of areas. Please note there will be something like 90 minutes of travel each way to the first stop if you're starting in San Franciso.

We really chose the wrong day to do this tour with heavy rain and wind. We got into Monterey just before the rain arrived and Jarry dropped us off saying that if we needed rest rooms we should use a cafe or hotel. Fortunately we quickly found some public rest rooms and were then able to look at the few shops that were open before 10.30 as we were only there for half an hour. Then it was on to Carmel where we spent about an hour and a half ( to include breakfast) with the instruction that the sea is that way! Following this we drove around Pebble Beach and 17 Mile Drive before returning to San Francisco. Obviously this tour would have been much better with better weather. Jarry was a lovely person and also a good driver , just as well considering the conditions. But after previous tours we had been on during our trip this seemed to be lacking something. Sort of "here it is get on with it"

We'd like to thank Anthony Wen for a wonderful day! He was very punctual and brought us around just as it was described in the itinerary. He is very friendly, a good driver and tour guide and is bilingual too (able to speak English and mandarin fluently). My husband and I enjoyed the tour very much and would highly recommend this tour!

AVOID it at all costs!!! I’ve bought about a dozen different different tours via Viator, and all of them were in the range of good to excellent. This is the exception. It should not even be an offered tour. Viator, you do not want it on your page if you want a good reputation. It says that professional driver and a guide will be provided in the tour bus. We were met by a guy with another couple in Honda Accord, and there was some kind of weird smell in the car. They all spoke Mandarin loudly 70% of the trip. So, 5 of us in the small sedan with weird tobacco -like smell and loud foreign language talk. The driver would talk to us in English from time to time. We drove somewhere out of the city for about 45 minutes to pick up a van. The van definitely needed a good cleaning and had a stale dirt smell in it. Then we went out of the way again for another 30 minutes to pick up one more person, and only after that the trip to Monterey began. When I asked how the tour would go, the driver named the “tour” stops and told us he is the big believer in self exploration. Basically, he would just get us to the places, name them, park the car and let us go out for 15 min to an hour (depending on the stop) to look around and then drive us to the next stop. He was definitely annoyed that we didn’t want to go for lunch at the fast food burger place and he had to “accommodate” vegetarians. Again, no suggestions where would be a better place to eat or what to see (e.g. just walk around city of Carmel; there are cafes and shops; see you in an hour. Bye). The driving skills of that “driver-tour guide” is another story.” In short, both, my daughter and I, got car sick. We have never been car sick before, even when driving in the mountains in Colorado. We couldn’t wait for this trip to end as soon as possible, but we had to drop off another guy, then drive to a gas station, and then drive back to return the smelly van only to get back in the smelly sedan. The cherry on top was the driver DEMANDED the tip, and I quote “Tips! $12 per person minimum!”. I don’t think he can demand tip and especially set up a price. I gave him $20 for 2 of us, and he really showed his disappointment. I believe that “tour” owes money back to me, and I requested at least 50% of the reimbursement since “the tour” was nothing like description.

I was waiting over 15 minutes for the bus to collect, when a black car with a chinese driver drove up and told me he is the tour as there are not enough people for a bus. I was very confused but the company confirmed this was correct. We had to drive first to San Jose to collect a senior chinese couple. I assume we did everything that was scheduled but I have no way of knowing. The driver was a very nice man and I had some nice conversations with him, however he was not a qualified tour guide. I have no grievances against the driver he was an honest decent man but I was definitely ripped off by the company. We had to return via san jose to drop off. the couple, but the driver took me back to my hotel which was very descent of him.
