Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria

The Mouraria neighborhood is one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Lisbon. It was in this area that the Moors went to live after the conquest of Lisbon by D. Afonso Henriques in 1147 until they were expelled in the 15th century. There are few vestiges left from that time. However, Mouraria is still today the most multicultural neighborhood in the city. In all, 56 nationalities live together in this neighborhood, most of them from Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan and Mozambique. The rest of the time we will spend on round tour.

Miradouro da Senhora do Monte

Next to the Capela da Senhora do Monte, this privileged balcony over the city offers a wide and rich panoramic view of Lisbon. The rest of the time we will spend on round tour.

Panteao Nacional

The National Pantheon - or Santa Engrácia Church - is an impressive baroque monument, housing the tombs of the country's most notable citizens. The rest of the time we will spend on round tour.

Miradouro da Graca (Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen)

Today Graça is a very rich and diverse neighborhood, with squares, viewpoints and buildings ranging from the simplest of residences to the most imposing of palaces. It's an area that appeals not only to locals but also to foreigners because of its soul, historical value and location

Miradouro de Santa Luzia

Discover the belvedere with its incredible view, which is a sight in itself. As popular for the view as for its unique tile decoration, this is one of Lisbon's must-see spots.

Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara

The São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint is one of Lisbon's most extensive and iconic vantage points. It is right next to the top of the Glória elevator and offers a special panorama of the city. Here you can see the whole of Avenida da Liberdade, Restauradores and Baixa, as well as the hill of Castelo de São Jorge, with its imposing walls and its photogenic green crown of stone pines.

Elevador da Bica

On a steep sidewalk, with the Tagus in the background, the elevator travels a few hundred unique, inspiring and very photogenic meters.

We booked Rui for a 2 hour tour of Lisbon. Having visited a few times before, we were keen to see things beyond the "normal tourist sites". Communication from Rui was fantastic, quickly answering all my questions and taking my booking. In lead up to the tour, all meeting info etc was confirmed and we quickly found Rui after disembarking our cruise ship. We saw some wonderful places which we never would have found on our own. An absolutely wonderful 2 hours spent swing Lisbon through a locals eyes. Thanks Rui, we will be in touch next time we are in Lisbon.

Ruil and his brother João were amazing tour guides and showed us the less touristy sides of Alfama and Belem. I definitely recommend booking a tuktuk tour with them as we saved so much time seeing the sights walking the hills of Lisbon and figuring out public transport. So convenient to have a tour! Rui is hands down the best tour guide you can have the pleasure of touring you around Lisbon! An extremely friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable individual who is ready to do whatever it takes to ensure you enjoy your time on the tour (and in Lisbon in general)! We loved the first tour of Belém so much, we came back the next day to have Rui take us through Alfama (which is absolutely amazing). Rui knows all the spots to visit, many of which are not on the “traditional” route. If you have the opportunity make sure you take a tour with Rui, you will not be disappointed! Rui took us all around the major photo opportunity places in Lisbon. This was just at the end of the holiday which was the perfect way to seal off a fantastic trip. Rui is a Lisboa Native and explained the places to us as we visited which provided the perfect mix of fun and culture. We visited all the hotspots in Lisbon and all pretty quick. This is hands-down the best guided tour around Lisbon’s unique neighborhoods with a guide who knows the area and is friendly and caring. Rui showed us some great sights in the Alfama, Mauriciana and more areas of Lisbon. He allowed us to choose where we wanted to visit, and the price was very reasonable. We can’t recommend his services highly enough. Take this tour from Prada do Comercio! It’s a fantastic Lisbon overview.
