Your Itinerary

Battle Museum of Local History

Let us take you where the history of England totally changed. Our tour may start from London or Port of Dover. Our first stop will be the famous Battle town. Battle welcomes us with Guy Portelli's sculpture on a roundabout. We will pop in a small but very impressive museum of Battle Museum of Local History.

Battle Abbey and Battlefield

Our next stop is Battle Abbey where we spend at least 2 hours exploring the visitor centre, Gatehouse and the towers, undercrofts, latrine block, dormitory range, crypt, the abbey church, altar and impressive Battlefield where William the Conqueror and Harold Godwinson fought bravely. Listen to the story of the Battle of Hastings from our APTG qualified blue badge guides.

Pevensey Castle

Our next stop will be Pevensey Castle with its Roman and Medieval walls in Pevensey shore. Pevensey Castle’s impressive ruins stand on what was once a peninsula projecting from the Sussex coast. This naturally defensible site, first fortified by the Romans, was most famously the place where the Norman Conquest of England began, when William the Conqueror landed there on 28 September 1066. He built temporary defences at Pevensey, probably within the Roman fort, and later a great medieval castle developed inside its walls.

Birling Gap

Birling Gap is a pleasant beauty spot on the south coast of England, which looks particularly nice in spring and has an excellent pub, restaurant and hotels. This is a beautiful and tranquil enclosed pebble beach set below the dramatic backdrop of the Seven Sisters cliffs. Accessible from the pretty Sussex village of East Dean, the short drive to the beach offers wide views of the rolling Sussex downs. We will have a nice and fresh coffee break in this spot. In Birling Gap, our guests can also enjoy rock-pooling (if it is low tide and in the summer only) or coastal walk in a well preserved marine nature reserve.

Beachy Head

Our next stop would be Beachy Head where we can amble just to the edge of England's highest bluff. Beachy Head with its' iconic, dramatic white chalk cliffs is the 'eastern gateway' to the South Downs National Park, and it is from here that the famous South Downs Way stretches the entire 99 miles (159 km) length of the Park to Winchester in Hampshire. The South Downs National Park is a designated National Park in England, providing an area of protected countryside that visitors can admire.

East Dean

We will have a delightful stop in a hamlet of East Dean which surrounds its medieval green. This is also where you will meet friendly British people in an authentic English countryside pub. Not to be missed spot for a true and real British cultural experience.

Seven Sisters Country Park

Seven Sisters Country Park is situated in the South Downs National Park and comprises 280 hectares of chalk cliffs, meandering river valley and open chalk grassland everything related to the outstanding natural beauty that you will admire.
