The 2-hour rainforest walk and totem park tour was fantastic!! Our tour guide was Zack who was very knowledgeable on Ketchikan, local fauna, totem lore, etc. It truly was a nice small group of about 10 people. Zack was personable and inquired about our interests and encouraged questions. It allowed for a more catered tour and not standard like a recorded tour. You can tell he really enjoys what he does and gave us tips on cooking and eating some of the local plants. He even went above and beyond when he was talking about the forest and animal dens by climbing into the den to show us how deep they go. We got to see some wildlife on the tour. There were black-tailed deer in the rainforest along the trail we were on. We really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it for anyone who visits Ketchikan. A nice alternative to the cruise ship excursions.

What I love about these tours like with the JW whalewatching tour in Juneau that it is not about the money and tip. Jeff the guide was one who reallly liked it , had great pleasure, to explain us all about the nature in the rainforest and the totem parc. If you on the holland america line you only have time for the 2 hour tour. this suffice

Our guide, Zac, gave a us a good experience overall. I would have liked a longer rain forest hike. The description online indicates that tip is included. When I mentioned this to our guide he seemed surprised. The totem pole visit was interesting.

Zach was the best tour guide we’ve ever had! Enthusiastic and passionate about his environment. Very knowledgeable about living in the area and all the nature around him. It showed in his delivery. He know about all the plants in the rainforest and answered questions. Had great stories about the various totems in the park.

Best tour we could’ve hoped for ! Zack was an awesome storyteller, historian, and all around swell guy. Took great care of our family group that ranged in age from 73 to 9 to make sure everyone had a great experience. 10 out of 10.

Austin is a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable. It is often rainy in Ketchikan but he was prepared with clear umbrellas for everyone so we could stay dry and not miss seeing anything! Thank you.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the rainforest and the totem poles, which made the experience very interesting. The guide also went out of his way to take us to a salmon shop before returning us to the ship.

I had a 6 hour cruise stop in Ketchikan. I booked this tour thinking it would be a nice way to get out of downtown Ketchikan and still have a few hours left to explore Creek Street on my own. The tour was great and left me the perfect amount of time to do some independent exploring. The guide was very knowledgeable!

Austin was our tour guide and he was a wonderful guide. The rainforest was beautiful, words couldn’t describe it and the totem park was informative and beautiful. My only complaint is that I wish it had been longer but I purposely booked a short tour due to our short time in port. I would love to go back and explore more of the Tongass National Forest.
