As you drive through its parking lot, the guide will explain the historical importance and the cultural relevance of the hotel. The lot itself is filled with classic vehicles and antique artifacts. Your tour continues to Lowell School, with its copper roof and doors. The guide will share both historical information and personal stories related to the school. We also delve into the socio-cultural aspects, discussing nearby closed mining communities and their historical context along with future mining prospects. The finale is a hands-on experience: you'll have the opportunity to hunt for Gold, Pyrite, and Turquoise near another pit edge. It was a great experience. Spend the money and get a personal detailed history of Bisbee. You will learn and see things you would have regrettably missed, if not for the tour, navigated by Travis. You will be blown-away by the lightening story.

We had so much fun!!! We loved the whole tour and how we were able to ask all of the questions we wanted without annoying anyone. We really enjoyed looking at the turquoise! But our favorite was all of the personal stories.

Travis, our tour guide, was very personable, knowledgeable, and was able to give us his personal insight into Bisbee’s history. He drove us to hidden places with which he was familiar, that other guides would not know. We loved his stories that he shared with us. He knew so many residents of Bisbee and shared many of their stories, as well. His Jeep was very comfortable. We had very chilly weather, and were enclosed. He also was very patient, stopping to allow us to take many pictures. I highly recommend this tour and recommend Travis!

This was by far the best tour we could have hoped for! Our guide, Travis, is a local whose family has been in Bisbee for over 100 years! Being a local he knows all the secret spots/stories to share, and did an amazing job providing the history of Bisbee and it's residents. We asked a lot of questions, and he had all the answers. He was friendly, arrived early, and shared so much information that we could not have gotten on our own, or through someone that is not a local. I highly recommend you book with Travis - you won't regret it!!!

Travis, your guide, makes Bisbee history come alive. He's a native who grew up while the mines were active and can relate the then and the now. His narrative is personal and personalized. He weaves his experiences into today's stories and tailors them to your interests. And he provides insights into today's Bisbee and how it differs from the mining era. We saw and learned more in two hours than we could have done in a day on our own. And for car enthusiasts he has a quiz at the end. Take his tour and see if you can master the quiz! You will not regret it one bit. The tour was the highlight of our visit. Jim G
