Lisbon Cathedral
Lisbon Cathedral, better known as Sé de Lisboa, is the oldest and most important church in the city, located in the Alfama district, it is the symbol of the Christian Reconquest, it is the most important church oldest in the capital. It was born in the Romanesque style but in the following centuries it underwent significant transformations in a Gothic style and although it has gone through the ages in an exemplary way, it has suffered several natural disasters such as the great earthquake of 1755. Its construction began in 1147 at the request of the first king of Portugal Afonso Henriques. This decision was made shortly after retaking the city from the Moors. It was built on the site of an old mosque to mark the triumph of the reconquest of Lisbon. It is a pioneer monument and a very good way to immerse yourself in the beginning of our walk.
Miradouro Das Portas Do Sol
Considered one of the most appreciable viewpoints in Lisbon, this belvedere is a kind of balcony that allows you to enjoy an unobstructed view of the Tagus and admire the Alfama district from above, to appreciate certain of the most beautiful monuments in the area and to take some cool photos..
Miradouro Da Senhora Do Monte
The Belvedere of Senhora do Monte marks an essential historical stage of our walk it is in all certainty the place which offers the most beautiful view of Lisbon (spectacular)
Mosteiro de Sao Vicente de Fora
The Monastery of Saint Vincent outside the Walls (Igreja de São Vicente da Fora in Portuguese) is a Portuguese church and monastery located in the city of Lisbon and is also a must-see that will take you on a journey between Organ, Azulejos and fables of the Fountain
Panteao Nacional
The monument that houses the great names in the history of the country. You will see it protrude from the landscape, during a walk in Alfama or at the Portas do Sol viewpoint and you will discover its grandeur as you approach it. An unmissable visit during your stay
Alfama
A stop for a walking tour of Alfama which is the most authentic and oldest district of Lisbon. A picturesque and colorful district, characterized by its narrow streets, winding alleys, steep steps and old ladies at the windows that will make this place a pleasure to explore. »
Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco)
As imposing as it is elegant, Commerce Square (Praca do comercio) is the gateway to Lisbon, it is none other than the largest square in the capital. On the banks of the Tagus, surrounded by majestic buildings, it testifies wonderfully to the prestige of the city at the time of its maritime power. I invite you to discover it through its history and I give you my recommendations for visits around this square, which will be an essential stopover during your stay in Lisbon.
Praca Luis de Camoes
Visit Praça de Luís de Camões in Lisbon and learn about the history, the buildings it houses and what to do in one of the most important and beautiful squares in the city. This square is the transition zone between Chiado and Bairro Alto. With the statue of Luís de Camões placed in the center, it is more than a beautiful and discreet urban square, it is also an imperative sign of modern concepts of citizenship, embodied in the figure of a hero - poet, eternal exile died poor and alone.
Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara
The Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara is one of the largest and most emblematic observation points in Lisbon. It is right next to the top of the Elevador da Glória and offers a special panorama over the city. From here you can see all of Avenida da Liberdade, Restauradores and Baixa, in addition to the Castelo de São Jorge with its towering walls and photogenic crown of green pines.
Avenida da Liberdade
Avenida da Liberdade (Portuguese for "Avenue of Liberty") is inspired by the Champs-Élysées in Paris, it is a tree-lined avenue connecting two squares (Praça dos Restauradores and Praça Marquês de Pombal), and is known for its luxury boutiques (which actually start on Rua Castilho to the north). A major boulevard in central Lisbon, Portugal, famous as one of the most expensive shopping streets in Europe.
Praca Dom Pedro IV
If you're looking for the heart of Lisbon, this central square with its traditional Portuguese mosaic cobblestones has been one of the city's main squares for centuries. Located in the downtown district of Baixa, it is officially known as Praça Dom Pedro IV, locals prefer to use its old name, "Rossio".
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
