What to expect
Torres de Serranos
Meeting point and my personal favorite in Valencia. Guess where the name Serranos comes from and earn eternal fame
Plaza de la Virgen
Welcome to the prettiest plaza in Town. This is where it's history started over 2000 years ago. I'll point out the landmarks to you as we swirl through the history of this place. Are there any bachelors in the audience? Pay extra attention on this stop!
Plaza del Mercado (Placa del Mercat)
The Mercado Central was already on your to do list right? Well, here you have it and I'll explain why it should be on your list. Opposite is the Lonja. Learn why you should visit and how to pronounce it properly.
Estacio del Nord
Estación del Norte merits a visit. Not quite the only nice building from that period in town. What period is this?
Puente de las Flores Alcadessa Rita Barbera
Valencia's favorite modern bridge. Take a look again, what's so peculiar about this bridge?
Puente del Mar
Let's talk food and drink here. Spanish gastronomy is enough reason in and by itself to visit our country. What's the one compulsory dish in Valencia? What do the Spaniards drink with it? What other reasons are there to move to Spain? We'll also have a Kodak moment here where I take pictures of your group with this beautiful bridge as a backdrop.
Jardi del Turia
The longest lineal park in Europe is right here! It's such a joy to meander through it and I will tell you all about how it came to be as we do. There's quite a story behind it that changed the city for good.
Palacio de las Artes Reina Sofia
Just a quick stop to show you a little quirky technical detail about the most iconic building of Valencia
Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias
Take it off you bucket list already! Been there, done that and it was spectacular. Calatravas' masterpiece in all its splendour just for you to enjoy.
Museu de les Ciencies Principe Felipe
This is where we'll have our Tasty Surprise. It's vegan, it's bio, it's sweet, it's quintessentially Valencian, it's included and it's good for you. Now give me reason not to try it.
Jardin de Astronomia
From here we have a good view over the area. How do I get from here to where the Paella was born? What and where is the Oceanographic and why should I go there? Where's the hippest discotheque in town?
Mercado Colon
This is the other great mercado in Valencia that you should visit. What does that name Colon mean? Where should I go when suffering from shoppingitis?
Jardines de la Glorieta
A nice little park just inside the old city walls. What's that monumental building just behind us? What are these immense trees and what's so special about them?
Plaza Del Patriarca
One example of many nice laid back and pretty plazas en the old town. Learn when was the golden age of Valencia and why you should visit the Iglesia of the Patriarch in the morning.
Plaza del Ayuntamiento
We are now back in the hustle and bustle of the center. What do we see here? Where are the finest Pintxos in town? Does the name of the Velluters neighbourhood have anything to do with velvet (or velours as the french call it)?
Torres de Quart
These are twins of the Serrano Towers that we saw in the beginning. This building is 'oblique'. I'll show you how to recognize it and why it was done that way.
Torres de Serranos
This is the end my friend. I hope you enjoyed the ride.
