    Ricardo was an amazing host. We used him twice on our trip. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and a pleasure to spend time with. I could not recommend him enough, a perfect gentleman.

    I didn't really know what to expect when we first started, but OOHHH what an experience!! Mary and Ricardo are a great team, super friendly, very knowledgeable. I don't know how but they managed to accommodate all of our needs. Very once did I feel rushed in anyway. All if our stops were magical, even the rides to each destination was so much fun. ( Mary, our driver is a blast) Highly recommend!!

    Marie was an amazing guide on our east North east day trip! She is very informative, sweet and happy to accommodate our requests. We had exclusive viewpoints and unique experiences for our group. We had time to really take in all of the stops and never felt rushed. I highly recommend Ricardo and Marie and will use this Nature Connection for our trips back to Madeira.     Had a great day with Ricardo from Nature Comnection Tours. Saw some wonderful scenery. Yes, there were some classic tour spots you could drive to yourself, but Ricardo used many of the old roads and with a mic and speaker set, he was able to provide lots of knowledge and information along the way and allowing us to stare in wonder at the landscape. Having grown up in Madeira but also previously working abroad in the tourism industry, he knows what people want on their trips. Lots of old road driving to see the scenery and a few off road tracks too. All along the way, Ricardo's driving was easygoing and steady, Not like your taxi ride from the airport! Our tour took a bit longer than the scheduled time. It was great that Ricardo didn't rush us to get back at the set time, but knew the things we liked and would rather take a bit longer than cut short our tour. A real sense of appreciation and a genuine thank you from Ricardo to our group at the last stop point. A wonderful day and would certainly recommend Nature Connection Tours.

    Pico do Arieiro

    Pico do Areeiro, the third-highest point on the island of Madeira, is located at an altitude of 1,818 metres. From this elevated spot, the ample view allows observers to extend their gaze over the unique grandeurs of Madeira's Mountainous Massif, with the Atlantic Ocean in the background. Besides the wide view over the central mountain range, from Pico do Areeiro you can also see Ponta de São Lourenço, Curral das Freiras and, on clear days, the island of Porto Santo.

    Ribeiro Frio

    After exploring Pico do Arieiro, we are ready to start the journey towards the north of the island. Descending to the small village of Ribeiro Frio where we will have the opportunity of going for a easy Levada walk in the middle of the Laurissilva Forest this trail will be an opportunity to come across indigenous and endemic species, offering different shades of green to the Laurissilva forest.

    Off road adventure in one of the Old Royal paths that connects Faial to Santana in the heart of our unique Laurisilva forest

    In Santana we will visit some hidden gens with stunning views over the Northeast coast trough some fantastic off road paths

    One of the most visit areas in Madeira where you can see and enter the iconic traditional triangular Madeira houses and we them will stop for lunch (optional extra - not included in the price ).

    Levada Da Serra Do Faial

    From Santana we will head to Faial where we will stop to visit the Guindaste sky-glass viewpoint, this place offers a breath taking view over the north coast of Madeira. where we can contemplate the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean that bathes the island.

    Porto da Cruz

    Porto da cruz where you will have opportunity to visit the rum factory and enjoy some of the local produce rums or our famous poncha. (Drinks not included - optional)
