This was more of a relaxed outing for half a day with a local guide from Vigo. We paid 65 euros more for the private pick-up and drop-off at our hotel in Vigo, and we drove to visit one winery close to the border to Portugal. Beautiful winery and the tour and wine experience was fun. Then we were prepared a picnic by the Minho River. It was an interesting and relaxing day out and a new experience. The tour company just recently started so the tour still needs some fine tuning. If you want to taste more wines and visit more wineries in one day, this tour isn't probably the right choice but if you want to have a day out and see some new things and have a more relaxed day out, this is not a bad choice.

Andres is new and establishing his business. We had a wonderful day at a local vineyard and palace. We then went for a picnic in the rain. Andres found a relatively dry spot and we enjoyed local foods despite the rain. We had several vegetarians and he adapted the food for our party. Thoroughly recommend him.

Andreas and his wife picked us up and drove us to the first winery. They were very friendly and the wine tasting was excellent. The wine guide did such a great job explaining how to taste and sample wines- paired with delicious local cheeses! We then had a wonderful picnic and got some time to visit in a beautiful natural setting. Unfortunately, siesta slowed our progress on the tour. My mother is a senior and could not hike in the mountains- this could have been planned out better. We walked around Cambados which was very picturesque. I/ we would have liked to learn more history. We felt like we could have ended the tour there. Rather than walk around during siesta perhaps a trip to the sea? Oyster tasting? The second winery was a disappointment and we were antsy to get back to our air BnB. More sites, more history and local stories- would have made our day better. Andreas is well on his way to getting his tour going- they were a wonderful couple. We didn’t have a teenager/ us- but there was not the option to select “ family” only.
