    It was amazing! A must see! It was worth the money! Well preserved and the guided tour is a must! The boat rides to and from were very scenic! The view of looking bs k on SF was breathtaking!

    The whole experience was so interesting A lot of uphill walking. Audio tour was so helpful Would take trolley to top next time

    Overall the experience was ok. It was nice seeing the prison, grounds and the audio tour. The bay cruise was ok, you get to go under the Golden Gate bridge and see the backside of Alcatraz, not sure worth the extra money. If you book this tour - HAVE YOUR EMAIL CONFIRMATION READY!!! I received an email advising 'here are your tickets' with a bar code provided, and these tickets did NOT work for either activity. The Alcatraz tour needed the email to look up my booking to obtain a QR code. The bay cruise group needed to look up the tour operators name so they could look me up.

    Loved the ferry ride and the Bay cruise, very informative and great photos shots. Alcatraz was disappointing, congested with too many people so it felt you were herded through the cell block which is really all there is to see. The audio tour was excellent and the information with photos and inmates stories was well done and very interesting but there were too many people to be able to read all the notices. Felt it was half the story, it would have been good to hear more about the people who worked there and their families, see how they lived. With only the cell block to visit, while interesting it was not enough to make it worth the money.
