What to expect
Carlyle House Historic Park
Carlyle House Historic Park, with its long and tragic history, remains a significant location on this street, even though the house itself no longer stands. As we walk along this haunted spot, you'll discover what makes it one of the most infamous paranormal hotspots in Alexandria.
107 N Fairfax St
As we walk along The Shafer Home, you'll learn about its history of hosting various businesses and spirits. Owners have reported smelling smoke inside, which is no surprise given that someone tragically died in a fire within the building.
Alexandria City Hall & Market Square
As we stroll by Alexandria City Hall, you'll hear about the infamous "Devil Bat" associated with the site. Though the bat's history remains a mystery, it's said to cause chaotic or erratic behavior, and it continues to make appearances to this day.
Athenaeum
Our next stop is The Athenaeum, you'll hear about the ghost of Michael Swope. Disturbances in the building are often linked to his remains being exhumed, making this location a significant haunted spot.
210 Prince St
As we pass by this 200-year-old home, you'll hear about its intriguing history and the mysterious ghost rumored to be that of a Revolutionary War military commander. Listen to the stories of the people who once lived here and the hauntings they experienced.
Wilkes Street Tunnel
Ending the tour, we visit the Wilkes Tunnel, where you'll uncover its surprising history and importance, from its 1851 construction through the Civil War. Explore its role in historic battles and the lingering spirits reported in the area.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
