Your Itinerary

Abbaye Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers

Hautvillers is a historic village of the 'Vallée de la Marne" called the "Cradle of Champagne" and known for its history with the famous monk Dom Pérignon "Spiritual father of Champagne". We will visit the church where he officiated for 40 years and where he now rests forever. We will tell you his story and you will finally know whether or not he is the inventor of Champagne !

Hautvillers

We'll stop in the unmissable village of Hautvillers to admire one of Champagne's finest panoramas of the Vallée de la Marne, on hillsides planted mainly with Pinot Noir and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's the ideal spot in the heart of the vineyards to take unforgettable photos of yourself and this breathtaking landscape. It's also where we'll explain the work of the vines and talk about sustainable viticulture.

Avenue de Champagne

(Pass by)

Avenue de Champagne in Epernay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is considered the most expensive Avenue in the world, with its prestigious Champagne houses (Moët et Chandon, Perrier Jouët, Pol Roger...), its private mansions and its 100 kilometers of cellars that hide 200 million bottles!

Cramant

(Pass by)

Cramant is a village classified at the highest level of the Champagne Appellation as a Grand Cru in the "Côte des Blancs", the kingdom of Chardonnay in Champagne. We will drive past the world's largest Champagne bottle production site as well as the Château de Saran, a prestigious property of the LVMH luxury group (Dom Pérignon, Veuve Clicquot, etc.) and the Moët & Chandon champagne production site.

Cramant

During the afternoon you will also taste the 3 local spirits of Champagne*, the most famous being the Ratafia wich has been produced in Champagne since the 13th century. It's rare (around 15 million bottles a year), little-known by tourists but very high quality. It's often drunk as an aperitif, digestif or with some dishes. You'll have the chance to discover it along with 2 other spirits : Fine de la Marne and Marc de Champagne from the famous Goyard Distillery in Aÿ created in 1911. *Depending on the season/weather you will enjoy this special tasting in the vineyards or at the winemaker's.

Oger

Oger is another village of the "Côte des Blancs" Grand Cru where we'll visit a family of independent winemaker/producer for several generations.
