La Magione

After the 1943 bombardament of Palermo, the area of Piazza Magione was heavily damaged. Many years have passed but this is still one of the poorest area of the city. But this is also the place where the two 'anti-mafia' heroes Falcone and Borsellino were born...

Il Murales che celebra Falcone e Borsellino

The most iconic portrait of the two anti-mafia prosecutors, killed both in 1992, is now a gigantic artistic mural, overlooking the historic harbour of Palermo

Albero Falcone

Placed in front of the house of the anti-mafia prosecutor, after the massacre of Capaci, the so called 'Falcone Tree' became the symbol of the rebellion against the mafia and of the rebirth of the Sicilian people.

Via d'Amelio

In this place the anti-mafia prosecutor Paolo Borsellino and 5 members of his security detail died on the 19th of June 1992. The mafia blew off a bomb hidden in a car parked in the street while the prosecutor was going to visit his mother.

Eduardo was a great guide. He had alot of knowledge and passion for the organisation. We got to see many sites and in depth conversations on the history and culture around the anti mafia movement. I would high recommend this tour.

Really interesting tour. Our guide Stefano was very articulate and passionate about his movement, and spoke in great detail about the events that shaped the mafia and the growing resistance to them.

A fantastic way to see Palermo with fascinating insight into the events of 1992 and afterwards. Stefano’s passion for his organisation’s work and the vision for an extortion free Sicily is inspiring. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned a great deal In the process.

The bike tour was a great experience with passionate tour guide, Stefano (if I remember his name correctly, he was an English teacher and played the drums). He told stories about the history and the present situation of the Mafia, which is relevant if you visit Sicily. It is not a tour through the historic center. Thanks for your passion, Stefano!

Superb tour . I learnt so much about the Mafia and how it has and still does affect the people of Palermo. The history was fascinating and Eduardo was passionate about the antimafia support scheme .we saw many parts of Palermo we would not have seen as we weee taken to all the important places in the history of the anti mafia movement . Thank you

It was a very interesting tour by bicycle around Palermo. During 3-hours we saw memoryplaces of murded people, murals, prison and the work the organisation make today. We think this is the most interesting tour to make in the city and on second place (street foof tour). We also recommend a trip to the antimaffiamuseum in Corleone.
