Your Itinerary

Arches National Park

Arches National Park spans 76,000 acres, showcasing over 2,000 natural stone arches, including the longest one in the U.S., Landscape Arch. With 1.7 million annual visitors, it's a must-see destination. Explore it with a self-guided driving audio tour for an immersive experience.

Admission Not Included

Arches Visitor Center

Our adventure into the astounding Arches begins just before the park's entrance and visitor center. We're about to see stunning natural monuments, unlikely rock formations, and alien, ancient landscapes.

Three Penguins

As soon as we begin our scenic drive through Arches, we'll see our first formation: the Three Penguins. The ancient Ute and Paiute peoples who once called these lands home didn't see penguins though- they saw ancient spirits watching over the land. As we drive, we leave about the formations and their significance to the tribes.

moab fault overlook

Moab’s Fault is a six million-year-old crack in the earth’s crust. As we continue driving, we'll see this fault and learn about the geologic pressures that have formed the landscape of Arches.

La Sal Mountains Viewpoint

The La Sal Mountains are the second-highest mountain range in Utah. Their highest peak, which you can see toward the center of the range, is almost 13,000 feet tall. We'll pause our drive through Arches to admire the mountains and learn about the Spanish settlers who pushed out the Ute and Paiute tribes.

Admission Not Included

Three Gossips

As we continue driving through Arches, we'll pass the iconic Three Gossips formation.

Courthouse Towers Viewpoint And Trailhead

This brings us to another vista point, where we'll see the Organ, Courthouse, Sheep Rock, and more.

Admission Not Included

Petrified Dunes Viewpoint

We'll also pass the Petrified Dunes and Great Wall. As we drive, we'll learn more about the Ute and Paiute mythologies of this harsh and alien landscape.

Admission Not Included

The Great Wall

This is a big wall that is off to the left just past the Courthouse Wash Bridge. ... trail/wash that heads NW towards big blocks leaning against the wall.

Balanced Rock Trail

Balance Rock is one of the park’s most iconic attractions, and for good reason. It looks like a huge boulder balanced precariously on a thin spindle.... and held together by concrete? Nope - it's all natural, and it's all one single rock.

Admission Not Included

Garden of Eden

The Garden of Eden is located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah. With no designated trails it is more of an open hiking area where visitors can explore its various fins and geological structures including Serpentine Arch and Owl Rock.

Double Arch

You've probably already seen Double Arch - from Indiana Jones! Explore this unusual formation as you relive some iconic movie moments

Admission Not Included

Cove of Caves

The Cove of Caves is a backcountry trail located in the Arches National Monument near Moab, Utah.

Panorama Point

We'll pass Panorama Point — keep this in mind if you plan to return at dark for stargazing. Since there’s very little light pollution obscuring the night sky here, you’ll see an astonishing number of stars once the sun sets. Depending on the time of year, you may even get to see the entire Milky Way! As we continue our drive, we'll learn about how to stargaze like the Paiute.

Wolfe Ranch

The Wolfe Ranch, also known as Turnbow Cabin, is located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah, United States. John Wesley Wolfe settled in the location in 1898 with his oldest son Fred. A nagging leg injury from the Civil War prompted Wolf to move west from Ohio, looking for a drier climate.

Admission Not Included

Salt Valley Road

This is one of the park’s quieter attractions. Like Cache Valley, Salt Valley was formed by the collapse of many sandstone domes. The broken pieces of rock littering the ground are leftovers from that collapse.

Admission Not Included

Sand Dune Arch

As we drive, exploring more arches, we'll learn more about the Paiute myths behind them, the Spanish and Mormon settlers who tried to survive in this land, and the people who were able to preserve this stunning landscape as a national park.

Admission Not Included

Skyline Arch

Visit Skyline Arch ... A short, out-and-back hike on well-defined trail leads to an arch in a high wall.

Admission Not Included

Devil's Garden Trailhead

Landscape Arch – This easy segment of the Devils Garden trail (1.9 mi/3.1 km roundtrip) is relatively flat with hard packed surfaces to walk on.

Amazing park. We had to reserve an entry time but that was super easy on recreation.gov and we had lots of choices on the time. As the park gets busy, however, that may no longer be the case. Visitor's Center s well worth the stop. Good roads throughout. Good walking trails. Very much worth visiting in April but could get hot in the summer.

Easy and informative tour that was easy to follow set up. I liked how it used our GPS so we didn’t have to do much launch it. I thought it gave him more balanced viewpoint of the Mormons and there in Salt Lake City and Utah. It also worked for our preference for walking is taking a bus or trolley

Standing under the double arch and hearing the echos and feeling the sun. The baby arch is adorable.

Using the audio driving tour was an excellent way for us to see the park. It was our 4th park using this program. Very flexible and informative.

Amara_R

It didn’t happen! The audio “tour” link to download the app had the response: “url not found”. After several phone calls and promises that I’d be notified that this was fixed, no contact was received. 2 hrs wasted, no communication from your vendor. I have up!

This is the first time that I've ever used an audio tour and found it easy to use and very helpful and informative. I enjoyed having some background information on the various sites. I would have missed some of them if it hadn't been for the audio guide. Ispent about six hours in the park, and still didn't see anything. Just wished that I could have gone back to see more.

sbarta

By having the audio tour it made the whole experience better. I’m not sure what we would have experienced if we didn’t have explanations regarding each site

Socorro_F

The trail going to delicate arch was not fun. It took us about an hour. When we saw the arch, it was wonderful and worth our sacrifices. Thanks

Viator tour narratives (Arches, Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Escalante) delivered as promised and were very helpful.

Jerry_A

Great tour with a lot of history of Yellowstone and Grand Teton parks. Cell service is not good in that area so the download was very helpful.
