Your Itinerary

Acqui Terme

A first edition of a yearly event with artists in the Acqui Terme region during September / October. Annelies Nuy (visual arts, from the Netherlands, 1960) is the initiator. She started a research project on how her art can be able to connect, inspire and inform her own generation, Generation X. The exhibition is layered from a decorative art wall to innovative thoughts about the future. In 6 Art Walls 3 old values of Christianity and an interaction with the monastery are contrasted with 3 new values in the Metaverse, a virtual 3D environment. The works representing the old values are sober, abstract and meditative. Annelies chose 3 bible classics: GOLD ,MYRRH and INCENSE. The new values are abstract and fragmentary, unfinished and with a void still to be filled. Each art wall has its own future inspired story: MOTION SICKNESS, GASFEES and MINTEN. in the Q&A layering concepts and underlying thoughts are further explained.

Centro storico di Acqui Terme

A brief introduction to the building where the exhibition is housed. An abandoned Seminary where students used to be trained as priests.

Acqui Terme

Acqui terme is known for its La Bollente, a hot spring with healing water. Because the water is above 70 degrees, it is not immediately drinkable. We have frozen it and added a natural flavor to make the healing water drinkable. You can argue about taste, but I am sure you will love it.

Participated in this very interesting and informative art tour. Perfectly situated in the center of Acqui Terme in a beautiful old seminary. Clearly explained by the artist herself making it even more special.

We were visiting Acqui Terme on our holiday trip and we found out there was an art tour on the courtyard of the old seminary, now a hotel, next to the Duomo. Annelies , the artist, was there to show us around and share with us all the ins and outs of the expo. The art as exposed fits wonderful in the environment which made the whole experience even more beautiful. So if you want some extra during your stay here join this tour that ends with a refreshing taste of the original Acqui Terme spring water!

Interesting art tour in a beautiful place in the middle of Acqui Terme. Really nice exhibition, especially because the artist explained her thoughts, which completes the experience.

Surprising art tour. The location is right in the center of Acqui Terme very close to La Bolente. Very nice to take a look inside an abandoned seminary. A new interpretation was art... loosely told where the artist got her inspiration from and in a short time we were updated about possibilities in the virtual world. A nice eye opener to think about further.
