Dining experience at a local's home in Pietrasanta with cooking demo

this was such a wonderful experience the famiy was very accomadating especially since we were one hour late do not drive in this town the train is near by there isno parking the chef and assistants were so professional and warm and friendly at the same time the food and dinner combined florence dishes and tuscany plates absolutely delicious very knoweledge too set up so you could cook and eat together five star in my book

Our visit at the stunning home of Isa Ferrari became a magical experience. The view of the Tuscan landscape from the beautiful garden filled with herbs, sweet tomatoes etc. was stunning and was a perfect background for us learning to make our own pasta, pizza and sweet chocolate cake outside on her tip tip great grandfathers kitchen table. Along with other prepared local dishes and a generous taste of her own made local wine (rosé and red), we enjoyed a delicious local meal. However, the best part of the experience was the host herself, Isa, and her two dogs Anita and Asi, who gave us a heartwarming welcome and stay for a full night in the Pietrasanta region. We will never forget this night!

We loved this experience! We did not know what to expect but Isa (Casa de Isa) was the most beautiful and welcoming hostess. Isa not only made us a four course meal but she picked us up and dropped us off at our rental unit so that we did not have to drive up and down the mountainside. Her home, that she shares with her husband, has the most stunning views of the Mediterranean. She is so talented in the kitchen and even sent us home with tomatoes, basil and dough so that our daughter can make homemade pizza. Our experience with Isa and her husband is one we will cherish!

It's very hard for me to accurately rate this experience. While we did have a memorable evening, and the food was amazing, overall it was not what was advertised. The general address for the event was originally listed as only 6 minutes from our house - once we received the exact address, it was completely incorrect. When I tried to reach out to Cesarine, they just told me to contact the hostess. This was when I leaned that our host did not speak English, even though it was advertised that she did. She was very difficult to get in contact with and actually hung up on me a few times. She insisted that our cab driver would understand the address as given to me, but he did not. Finally, he was able to call and talk to her directly in Italian to find out where we were supposed to be, which was no where near the address supplied in the emails. We ended up having to travel over 20 minutes from our house, resulting in an extremely expensive cab ride, and our group being almost an hour late. The only "cooking class" portion of the experience was our host explaining to the kids how to knot bread dough to make little rolls. While the kids loved it, that was the extent of the cooking class leaving us all disappointed. The whole night ended up lasting 5 hours in total, much longer than the 2 hours advertised. The host had invited a friend to attend the evening with us and he was able to serve as an interpreter of sorts, but a lot was definitely lost in translation. All that said, the dinner/food was amazing, the view spectacular and the hostess was very kind and welcoming. The address confusion was very aggravating as even the local taxi driver didn't understand the information we were given. It also ended up costing us a LOT of money and time, to an already expensive evening. Not being able to communicate with our hostess was very challenging as we were there to learn from her, not just be served. The photos attached are the extent of the food that we were served. Everyone left very disappointed that we did not receive any kind of cooking demonstration beyond the rolls. The description of this experience needs to be revised as if we knew what we were getting upfront, we would have booked something different and not have been so frustrated.
