This was a great time and also very educational. The ladies were very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Not to mention the finished product was delicious. I would highly recommend to family, clients and friends.

We learnt to make peri peri chicken, cod with dream and a prawn dish. The food was SO good I couln't believe I had actually cooked it! Teachers were very knowledgable and recipes were easy enough to cook at home again myself. Would definitely recommend this class.

It was good but had better experiences than this class in other cities. Learned so much about salted cod in the Portuguese culture. Cod dish with cream was very rich and would have preferred something less rich. Pili pili dish was good.

We had a great time doing this cooking class! We were 4 couples visiting Portugal for the first time, and we did this on the 2nd day of our trip, which turned out to be a great intro into Portuguese cuisine for us. The instructors gave us lots of info on Bacalhau (salted cod) and its importance to the national cuisine. We also got to taste and learn about the different spicy peppers that the Portuguese favor. This helped inform our choices in restaurants for the rest of the trip, since we had a better idea of what we were ordering and what we liked. We made a total of 3 dishes- the Piri Piri Chicken was my favorite. One member of our party didn't like the fact that we had to prep the shrimp by removing their heads and deveining them, but she just had a glass of wine while the rest of us finished up. They were generous with the wine at lunch, which we thoroughly enjoyed eating with the 4 other class participants before we had to leave so they could get ready for the next class. Several members of our group said that this was their favorite thing we did while on this week-long trip. It's definitely one we'd all recommend. I would have liked to have done the Pastel de Nata one too!

We had the best time learning to cook authentic Portuguese food at Compadre. Anna was an incredible instructor, and we really enjoyed getting to cook with others and eating it all family style. The food was insanely delicious. The best part is that they give you all their recipes so you can cook them at home too!

This was a great experience and also nice to interact with people from all around the world. The staff were lovely and the food even more so (because WE cooked it ourselves 😉): Cod, Chicken PiriPiri etc. No skills needed because staff prepped everything already. Some suggestions to have an even better experience: have some more options for drinks (now only white/red wine and tap water were available), turning up the music during cooking would be nice (there was a small speaker, but almost quiet) and also gloves would be handy for some (fish) preparations. One other thing that was weird is that they still provide COVID rules in their communication (faces masks, distancing etc), and they keep reminding about this in their emails. Tip; update your emails templates. Overall: we had a great evening.

Really enjoyed the hands-on work, the local food info and history and the finished product was great. Good fellowship with the others taking the class. Overall top experience.

What to say? When we booked we didn’t know what we would cook and what would happened… but the location was amazing and the hosts, incredible! The history of the dishes, the friendly people around, it felt we’ve knew the other guests for years! So if you want some good memories, this is the place to go, have fun and eat incredible food!

The class was amazing! Best way to taste local flavours. Our instructor, Marta, was fantastic: knowledgeable and entertaining. Ana was great as well. We cooked 3 dishes that were delicious. We learned a lot about Portugal, its main dishes, and history. It's a must when visiting Lisbon.
