We booked our tour last night. Local tour operator Tripshepherd confirmed with us on the pick up location minutes after the booking. We met up with our local guide Owen this morning. Owen was very knowledgeable, patient and detailed. We really enjoyed our tour from the State Capitol to Mozart's Coffee Roasters to Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve to Mt Bonnell. Highly recommend it!!

Canceled in the last min. Very disappointed and did not even receive an apology considering we had booked weeks in advanced.

Owen was an excellent guide, with insightful and informative knowledge of Austin and the surrounding area. He took us to interesting areas with great photo opportunities. The state capitol is truly worth the visit, made even more so by Owen’s knowledge of the history of both Austin and Texas. Thoroughly recommend this tour to get a good insight into Austin whilst still ‘keeping it weird!’

We felt a bit mislead that this tour would be a premier experience. Though the group was small (our party was 4 of the 6 people) it was a bit of a squeeze in a regular minivan (not a Mercedes as described) and getting in and out was a challenge. Thank goodness 2 in our party were able to sit in the back seat, but hearing the commentary from the driver was definitely compromised. We also chose this tour for the hotel pick up to accommodate one in our party who couldn't walk long distances. However, she needed to sit it the van for two stops (the state capitol and Mt. Bonnell) as "skip the lines, get better access" was not really provided. The driver (Owen) was kind enough to include a quick swing through UT campus (important for the alumni member in our group), but he struggled some to deliver smooth commentary while driving. The tour took closer to four hours and the promised "surprise food stop" was a cup of coffee near the end. I don't blame the driver, but the tour was nothing like the upgrade from the much cheaper similar offerings on Viator.

Fun! This was definitely worth doing. There were a lot of stairs but we could have taken the elevator. The bathrooms were small and sparse compared to the size of the crowds. Plan accordingly!
