I love visiting the Sports museum,as i am such a passionate Sports lover for AFL, Cricket & Rugby Union. I get see the history of the games I love. The most memorable part is Shane Warne. It's like it's real one of Shane Warne. When in Melbourne I make sure I visit the museum.

Great family activity which would suit most people. From the sports mad to the mildly sporting interested, lots of interesting and fun activities, hands on stuff for kids.
Takes a few hours to walk through but is worth the time. Food available in the cafe ‘Paddock’ to stop for lunch before or afterwards.

A fantastic sporting experience and a must for all sports enthusiasts, the tour of the grounds and then visiting the Sports Museum was a great way to spend the day. There is something for everyone and lots of sporting history to learn.
The visit is suitable for all ages and was enjoyed by both Grandson and Grandfather with a 60 year age difference. I can highly recommend the experience for all sports lovers.m

We had a fantastic experience at the museum, it’s interactive and really informative (even for adults). This has to be the best museum we’ve been to in Melbourne and you can tell just how much hard work has gone in to the planning of it.

Visiting one of the oldest and largest cricket stadium in the world made it an awesome experience..the guide was very knowledgeable and when he knew we came from India he chose to point out anecdotes from the Indian team

Sporting history that seemed to focus more on AFL & cricket. While other sports covered, only minor. Shop was AFL gear focused.

The Australian sports museum tour was underwhelming to me. There were some good interactive displays but overall it just wasn't that impressive. I guess I was expecting more trophies (like at European soccer team's tour) or more jerseys/souveniers of the AFL, rugby, and cricket. The Olympic display way very good, the rest just average at best. I did get a kick out of the tour animals being decked out in gear for the upcoming AFL game although they could have dressed it up for the State of Origin game that night.
We also did the MCG tour and it was 5 stars but that is a different review.

We did the MCG Tour and the Australian Sports Museum with our 12 year old grandson who plays AFL and we all enjoyed it. Both are well worth doing and interesting but we should have allowed ourselves more time after the tour to spend in the museum as there is so much to see and do.
