Check in back again at our office in Estació del Nord before the starting time of the afternoon activity. Meet your guide and come aboard an air-conditioned coach to Montserrat. After a 1h drive, board the cog-wheel train up the mountain and enjoy the amazing views of Montserrat. World-famous for its rocky geography, Montserrat beautiful scenery was declared National Park in 1987 to protect its natural and cultural wealth. Fall in love with the Gothic and Renaissance details of the basilica and sanctuary. Learn about the legend of the miraculous apparition of the Madonna and Child in the cave of Santa Cova. To this day their wood carving is kept in the Church of the monastery, which you will be able to visit. The figure is popularly known as La Moreneta (The Black Madonna) as a result of a varnish reaction. Enjoy free time to taste the finest liquors, shop for locally produced treats or visit the audio visual exhibition once our guided tour finishes.

Board an air-conditioned coach for a panoramic tour through the city. Discover the changes to the coastline of Barcelona for the Olympic Games in 1992. See the Olympic Port, the beach and the fisherman’s quarter from the bus, called Barceloneta.

Montjuic

Head to the Montjuïc Mountain, main scenery of the Olympic Games in 1992. Ride the cable car for amazing views over the city. At the end of the tour, you will stop in the MNAC viewpoint to see one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the city.

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • You have approximately 1 hour and 15 min of free time for lunch (from April to October) and 30 min (from November to March) between both parts of the excursions. Lunch not included.
  • From the end of January to the beginning of March (dates to be confirmed) the cable car doesn't work due to maintenance tasks.
  • Proper dress code is requested to enter the Basilica at Montserrat. It is not permitted to enter with tank tops, strapless shirts, short shorts or flip flops.
  • At Montserrat there is a mountains climate, depending on the season you will need clothes protecting you from the rain and/or cold.
  • Failure to show up at the established check-in time may entail losing the tour.
  • The duration of the tour includes the round trip to the destination.
  • Please note that the itinerary is subject to change due to the events to be celebrated in the City (demonstrations, sport events, cultural events, oficial acts and public works).
