We couldn’t get into the Breya Gallery so elected this as an alternative. It turned out to be a good choice. The picture collection alone is worth the quite high entrance fee. It includes works by Botticelli, Mantegna, Michelangelo, Canaletto and others. There are also very impressive displays of decorative items and some fantastic clocks. The building itself is beautiful and it is a great pity much of it was destroyed in 1943. Photographs and a few remaining rooms give an impression of the original splendour. Finally, there is an incredible selection of weapons and armour from many countries. It is not of the scale of the Hofburg, Leeds armouries or others, but it is worth seeing if you have any interest in weaponry and is strikingly displayed.

Poldi Pezzoli is a lovely home with a nice collection of antiquities. Even more impressive is the lace collection which is sadly pushed to the side down a hallway. It is even nicer than the lace collection in Burano, Italy. To get the best value, get the museum pass to see other homes in the city.

Excellent museum. w spent over 3 hours in the museum. Definitely worthwhile to visit. Take an audio guide to fully understand everything you are seeing as ellas the history behind it.

Incredible experience. We arrived for our scheduled 2pm entry and the museum had closed unexpectedly for repairs. Knowing we could not return another day, the curators let us in and brought us around for over 2 hours privately. How could we ever say enough thanks. Beautiful building, exquisite collection.

Lovely collections with a few stunning paintings including two Botticellis. The architecture of the house was also beautiful and included painted ceilings, statuary, and fountains. The museum is small and walkable even for those who have issues walking. There are also elevators available on asking. Would highly recommend.

A small museum spread over 2 floors, this museum holds the private collection of Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli. The main highlights are the paintings in the “Gold Room” on the the first floor and the armoury on the ground floor. There is a also a beautiful staircase that takes you up to the first floor. Overall a good visit to a relatively small museum

Housed in an elegant Milanese mansion which used to be the residence of a private collector to whom the museum is named after, Poldi Pezzoli is a museum and gallery with permanent exhibitions that vary from paintings to sculpture and from armory to clocks. All items, organized according to theme, are beautifully displayed in a way that not only doesn’t bore you but increases your interest the further you explore the collections. Though small in numbers its treasures are masterpieces, especially paintings like Botticelli’s Virgin Mary with baby Jesus and the book, Dead Christ among Saints, Hayez’s self portrait among friends and works by Mantegna, Bellini and Lucas Cranach. The museum often houses periodic exhibitions which are included in ticket price and are worth attending.

Very nice small museum with a variety of objects. It had watches, jewelry, armor, paintings, furniture, stained glass, Murano glass. I thought the collections were very well displayed.
