I was not impressed with the company who provided us with the entry tickets to the Egyptian Museum (which is really worth a visit). The voucher said the tickets would be emailed 48 hours before the visit but they didn’t arrive. I tried to contact the company but I didn’t receive any response. I had to contact Viator who also tried to contact the company. Eventually they did send the tickets but their lack of communication was appalling.

I found the booking process through trip advisor very confusing. The museum tour itself is well signed and has a wealth of artefacts. Some of the signs on the exhibits are very hard to read. The museum was very crowded.

The hall of the largest and most impressive statues are right at the end of the exhibition- so don’t give up! It has so much information and facts that you may be overwhelmed, but just take in how the funeral rites developed and enjoy the beautiful craftsmanship.

Superb museum, so comprehensive and full of the most amazing antiquities. Of course Tutankhamen exhibition is amazing and a must. I like the tradition of this museum and glad we saw this here rather than the new location.

Such a wonderful visit! I must plan a return visit to Turin to revisit this excellent museum. Some areas were crowded but overall it was a very enlightening visit!!

Second largest Egyptian collection. It covers thousands years history and culture. Lots families and school kids visiting there.

Firstly, Viator claims to offer the best price. Wrong. When we arrived at the museum we discovered that if we had booked directly with the museum - or even just turned up at the door - we would have saved 6 Euros per ticket. Secondly, the booking stated "including special exhibits": these are not exhibits that are charged extra for. Any visitor to the museum paying the standard fee gets to see them. Finally, the booking process gave us a start time of 16:30, stating the visit would take about three hours. As we discovered, the museum actually closed at 18:30, so we were ushered out by the apologetic staff before we had a chance to see everything. Moral of this story: book direct with the museum, not with Viator. I certainly won't be giving them my custom ever again.

Really interesting museum, unfortunately TripAdvisor/Viator were unable to supply the correct entry tickets despite numerous phone calls and emails. In the end I had to waste half a day of my trip to visit the museum in advance to obtain the correct tickets, this meant that a visit to another attraction in the city was missed. The Museum is well worth a visit but I would suggest obtaining the tickets directly from the museum as you would be guaranteed the correct tickets at a much cheaper price. Museum rating -Excellent TripAdvisor rating -Terrible
