Palazzo Borromeo

It is a valid example of Lombard baroque, the visit starts from the ground floor, continues to the noble floor with the hall of medals where, among the paintings, stands a Christ and the Cananea attributed to Annibale Caracci; the hall of honor completed from 1948 to 1959 on the original designs, the music room with ancient musical instruments and paintings by Pietro Mulier; the Napoleon room, where the general slept on August 17-18, 1797, the room of Luca Giordano, so called because it houses three paintings of mythological subjects of the famous painter, the work room, the Zuccarelli room, the corridors, the ballroom , magnificent environment designed by Abbot Zanoia. As soon as we arrived on the Stresa seafront we were 'captured' by one of the staff and for €40 we got 3 tickets to be able to reach the fishermen's island and the beautiful island at free time... Surely there are cheaper prices but in the end the service was precise and punctual. The islands, especially that of the fishermen, are worth a visit

Baldamico

Auftrag ausgeführt, nicht mehr, aber im Prinzip eigentlich weniger. Beim Ticketkauf wurde ein Halbstundentakt verkauft, bei Ankunft auf Isola Bella war ein Stundentakt daraus geworden (jeweils zur vollen Stunde). Das Boot legte dann bereits um .50 ab. Wir waren rechtzeitig, andere vermutlich nicht… Das Personal war zudem sehr unfreundlich! Immerhin, an- und zurückgekommen.

Les îles sont magnifiques !! Concernant l'organisation, le billet d'échanges VIATOR n'est pas très clair : il fait bien regarder la compagnie de bateau écrite en tout petit !!
