Nicolas was an excellent guide during the déguststion part of the visit (wine tasting) - so knowledgeable and professional, but also friendly and helpful. They were so helpful on Reception too, when we got lost & missed our time slot; directing us through the village on foot and allowing us to join another, later slot. Very good visit. Would highly recommend.

This place is EXCEPTIONAL! The museum is incredibly informative, interesting and well designed. It very clearly answered so many questions that I had. I learned a lot at the wine tasting as well. Émeline, our sommelière, was a delight. She was very engaging, warm and a true expert in her field. I am so pleased that we stopped here.

One of us had loved Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines since ‘booze cruises’ to Calais years ago, so this was a dream come true. We’d booked online but changed our itinerary and arrived 2 hours early – no problem for Emeline, who was fluent in French and English and helped us throughout our visit. As one of us was driving, we took the 8€ tour with 3 tastings. What a bargain, worth it just for the tour. We went round this fascinating museum with the self-guided audio, one in French, the other English. The concentration is obviously on the local wines but other French areas such as Alsace, Bordeaux and Champagne get a mention too. You learn the whole chronology and geography of the Rhône Valley wines, with diversions galore to things like the equipment, the people, the terroir. The tasting was at the end, after which we purchased various wines and went away very happy. Merci Emeline.

We stopped off here on our visit to Chateauneuf. The tour is informative as you listen to the pre recorded session via a handset as you walk around. You can purchase a ticket for 3 or 5 tastings. Our sommelier Eleine was very knowledgeable and helpful when trying the different wines. Thank for a wonderful insight into your vineyards and wines. If you get a chance pop in and grab some wine, just as we did.

Arrived approx 13:30, not busy, easy to park. €8 for the audio tour and tasting of 3 wines, 1 white and 2 red Very informative on the audio guide. After the ‘guide’ we were met by Vincent the Sommelier who poured the tastings and described each one in detail! We took the plunge and bought some bottles to have at Christmas! Highly recommended! A really friendly tour! Staff were great!

I thought I knew a fair bit about wine, but this was definitely the best wine museum I have been to: a "must visit" if you're in Chateauneuf-du-Pape! From the moment you walk through the doors, you are made welcome. The museum isn't that large, but it tells you about the history of the region, details about the grapes and terroir, and what makes the wine so special. Vincent led us through a great tasting once we had toured the museum. He was knowledgeable and entertaining.
