Grevin Museum

Paris was a busy place in the 19th century, and the public wanted to know everything that was going on. Journalist Arthur Meyer (1844-1917) came up with the idea of creating life-size, three-dimensional models of the people who made the headlines in the famous daily paper "Le Gaulois". Meyer's idea was simple: to create a place where the public could walk through a setting peopled with wax figures. It was an instant success! Discover a completely renovated Grevin Wax Museum. Experience the spirit of Paris of yesterday and today with scenes from the major events of the 20th century, French history and the latest news. See the brasserie, the theatre, artists' studios - all the legendary Parisian haunts where you will rub shoulders with the "Tout Paris" celebrities. Three hundred wax figures are waiting to meet you, to be photographed with you and be remembered forever. The Grevin's free discovery tour reveals the well-kept secrets of making wax celebrities! After meeting Louis XIV, Mozart, Jean Reno, Leonardo DiCaprio, and more, children can have fun finding out how all those wax figures are made.

I’ve wanted to visit here for a number of years and am glad i finally managed to see it. Set in a beautiful building is this very entertaining wax museum. Whilst not quite at the extremely high standards of Madame Tussauds this is a very fine wax museum. Obviously being in France there are a lot of figures connected to French culture but there are plenty of figures in the different areas that most people will recognise and enjoy. I enjoyed the figures and exploring the elaborate building and would definitely visit again if i get the chance. I was surprised they didn’t appear to have a chamber of horrors type area but found it interesting they had at least one historical artefact in the Jean-Paul Marat exhibit.

Loved the different zones creating different worlds. Some of the sculptures were really good! The other experiences eg mirror hall.

We loved seeing all the celebrities and taking pictures with them. Also loved the Parcours Photo stations.

the opening light and sound show was really nice. Just enjoyed the whole museum. Would have enjoyed more historical figures.

We took a lot of pictures beside our favorite celebrities. They were amazingly lifelike facsimiles. Visitor control allowed everyone to see the characters on display.

It was a beautiful experience. The museum is trying to offer to the visitors both the pleasure to meet some of the most famous people in the world in their wax version and some magic. It is interesting and anyway you will not regret. Seeing other wax museums in the world, Grevin Museum is a little bit smaller than others and, that’s why is kind of crowded. And the statues are, in some tight places, one very closed to the other one. Anyway, i recommend.

Before buying a ticket I asked several employees if I it was OK to bring my dog, as she was in a stroller. All of them said yes! After I buy the ticket they tell me the elevator is broken and force me to take my dog out of the stroller. Again I confirmed “is it ok to bring my dog” and they said yes. Once I get in they start demanding I carry my 25lb corgi up and down stairs throughout the entire place. I asked to leave, as it was too uncomfortable for myself and my dog to carry and try to enjoy the exhibit. We were very upset, what a waste of money and time. They did not even offer a refund. To the company l hope you enjoy the 30 euro we wasted on a horrible experience.

We stumbled upon this museum whilst having lunch on the same street. It was quite busy been a pubic holiday but we did not wait too long to get in (pre paid tickets). The mirror exhibition was pretty cool and then you could walk through at your own leisure through the wax exhibits. There were lots of French celebrities that I didn't know, but that didn't matter, there was more than enough content to last 2 hours. The exhibits are pretty cool moving throughout history and then to movie and sports stars. I would give this an extra star but did think it was a little but steep at 74euro for two adults and a child.

It was OK. A good OK. Went there as a filler with my elderly in-laws. They enjoyed. Maybe it is not fair since wax museums aren't my cup of tea,

The wax museums was amazing they are so life like and really look like the celebrities. We was able to try on some of the costumes etc and it was fun and we totally enjoyed the day. We only wish that they had a few more memorable wax museums like Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, Lisa left eye lopes
