We had an amazing time. The grounds are beautiful and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! We celebrated our 1 year anniversary. Enjoyed the tractor ride around the grounds.

Well worth the admission. The grounds and house are beautiful and well worth seeing. There is also a "ride" around the plantation that goes into all the details of what is grown at the plantation and how it is done. The lady who describes the Gullah culture is also well worth seeing.

Me and my wife have visited Charleston once a year for the last 5 years or so and after visiting Boone Hall last year we decided to add it to our yearly rotation of sites because we love it so much. The staff are always so friendly and knowledgeable and the plantation itself is absolutely breathtaking. This year we took our 11 month old son and he enjoyed it as much (if not more) than we did. Boone Hall is a must when visiting the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area!

We had one day in Charleston area, and visiting Boone Hall was on the docket. The mansion tour was interesting and the tour guide gave an in-depth review of the history of the plantation. He was quite knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions at the end of the tour. The tractor ride around the property was enjoyable as well. Would recommend for those interested Charleston history!

The history and artifacts were amazing. The flora was spectacular. The farming tour was really interesting and allowed us to see a great deal of the plantation.

Beautiful grounds and home. I have wanted to see this since 1986! Nice tour of gardens amd land and discussions outside.

The 25 min tractor ride/tour of property was communicated well and efficiently. We enjoyed the house tour too! Be sure to allow 4 hrs minimum to enjoy the entire plantation. Too bad we couldn’t tour the slave houses due to our time restraints. We were rushed due to a pre-scheduled tour in Charleston.

My mother, friend & I really enjoyed our visit to Boone Plantation in Mt. Pleasant. One of the draws for us was that the old miniseries, North & South, with Patrick Swayze, was filmed here. There were also some scenes from The Notebook filmed here too. We also like history so were also interested in a plantation that included some enslaved information. The entry fee includes a house tour & many grounds activities. We chose to see — a tour of the lower level of the house. Only took about 15 minutes or so. — a self-guided garden tour — an agricultural tractor tour of the property where you see the many crops growing at the farm. The guide was very informative. — exploring the gullah culture presentation. — slave quarters tour — Avenue of the Live Oaks There is a little cafe where you can get a snack or something to drink. There’s several plantations to choose from in the Charleston area. We are glad we got to visit the Boone plantation & recommend a visit if your schedule allows.

The plantation was very interesting. Tour guides were great. Couple of tips: (1) Don't dawdle at the house. The grounds tour does not have enough space for the people they have on the house tour. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for the next tour. (2) They do NOT ACCOMMODATE FOOD ALLERGIES AT ALL. Even the pre-prepared turkey sandwich "may contain peanuts" through cross contamination. So bring you own lunch if you have an issue. Our peanut allergy went hungry and we had to leave early.
