My wife and I were excited for this tour. We arrived early but no one showed up. Apparently the guide was in a bike accident on the way over. Eventually we got it straightened out, although we were left without a tour. Original Food Tours refunded our money but promised a free tour for the inconvenience, that we could have used the next week in Spain. They never came though. Then upon our return I have contacted them 4 times, once they asked for more information but have since gone silent. We lost an afternoon during our trip, which they could have made up for but apparently just made the offer to placate us. Unacceptable to have told us multiple times they would provide a credit, then renege on coming through. Can't trust them and don't want to give business to people who operate like that.

Wonderful tour! We loved trying all of the local delicacies and hearing the history of Bordeaux. Our guide was amazing and the day just perfect as we ducked in and out of small shops on our tour around Bordeaux. My wife is a vegetarian and had no problem as there was just one stop focused on meat. I would not recommend this tour if you are looking to taste great wine (many other better options for that) but for the tour and food well worth the time and money.

Luigi our guide was very pleasant. We enjoyed our time specifically with him. It was an expensive tour assumedly due to the small group, but there should be at least two wine tastings and the only chateau we went to was mediocre at best. The tour of the town and church was good. We enjoyed the one cookie and the scent game on the drive back was amusing. The wine caves was also interesting. Maybe some tastings there would have enhanced the trip.

Talking with a local and learning local insights of city and region, tasty food items of many sorts, and much more to learn about city life

Led by our enthusiastic guide Margot with two lovely local tour guides, Valerie and Mary accompanying us, we enjoyed our food trip in Bordeaux. We sampled a very wide range of sweet and savoury experiences. Most enjoyable were the visit to the wide range of local cheeses, though limited samples provided and the artisan Basque outlet Pierre Oteiza where we returned the next day to sample their lovely produce. A really interesting stop was the olive oil tasting shop on Rue des Ramparts. Margot was full of enthusiasm and all local producers gave us a very friendly welcome. We sampled caneles, noisettes and speciality pastry at Dunes Blanches. In some establishments our local guides received no samples which made us feel a little guilty. There was an interesting wine sampling with a most knowledgeable sommelier at the Cousin et Cité Wine Shop. Our last stop was at the Alsatian bistro, Au Bon Jaja where we had wine but the promised food never materialised. We enjoyed the company of our guide Margot and learned a lot from the lovely Valerie and Mary. One suggestion is perhaps a couple fewer places to visit (we’re more savoury than sweet) and more to eat and drink at establishments. Overall, a lovely way to learn more about the city and its food and wine. We would recommend it.

We had a wonderfull tour with a great guide and lovely food. This tour is a great way to discover the city and the food that Bordeaux has to offer. There is no need to have dinner afterwards. The guide was well informed and very nice.

4 hour relaxed stroll through old sector of city with short stops for tastings of local specialties & wine. Great orientation; perfect balance of information/historical commentary with food experience. Do this early in your visit, as it will really help organize your visit.

We had a fantastic time on this tour and totally by chance we were the only ones on it! The team put together such a great mixture of tastings, really well thought through. Would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone looking for something a bit different in Bordeaux!
