If you’re tired of walking and want to see most of the Brooklyn area this is a great way to do so. Even still, the tour was 4 hours and could have been 4 more. John was a great tour guide and Brooklyn native. You do ride in the streets close to cars - but there are bike lanes on a lot of the streets. And they do offer helmets ( which I recommend!) Stopped at a cool brewery on the water that had great views of the Statue of Liberty. I definitely recommend this tour!

We had the best time with Frank, cycling through Brooklyn. He was able to answer all our questions and it was accustomed to our needs, as due to bad weather, my partner and I ended up with a "private tour". Best pizza in town, stunning anecdotes about history and architectural spots were all in for us. The hours just flew by and we had such a blast, that not even the heavy rain in the end was able to kill our good vibes that day. Thanks so much for the great tour, we will absolutely make sure to book the Manhattan tour as well next time around!

While our tour guide John was excellent and the tour itself was lots of fun, Viator was terrible! On our electronic ticket, under “Location” there was no address other than “Brooklyn NY,” and when you clicked on that, you got a GPS map that did NOT take you anywhere near the starting location for the tour. I emailed and text-messaged Viator and got no response. My recommendation is to avoid using Viator and go directly to the tour operator’s site. John at Brooklyn Giro Bike Tours was very patient. He and the rest of the group waited for us to arrive 15 minutes late because Viator had provided us with such vague and useless directions. Once I reached John on the phone, he stayed on the line with us and gave us correct navigation. I highly recommend John and his tour company, but I will not go through Viator again!

Pluses Frank a great guide delivering the right amount of historical perspective mixed with contemporary information and anecdotes, the best tour guide I have had ever The tour touching covering the most relevant places in Brooklyn The pace, leisurely without ever becoming boring The bicycle that fitted and worked perfectly The routes and bicycle paths chosen always very safe Minuses None I can think of except for the location a bit far (20 minutes) by foot from any subway station

Frank was a terrific guide - provided the perfect mix between history, current events and celebrity gossip. Went all over Brooklyn. What a fun afternoon!

Absolutely incredible tour! Our guide, Frank, really took the time to customize the ride to fit what we wanted to see most. I've been on tours from other companies that sounded scripted or robotic and this was certainly not the case. We learned a lot and covered so much ground. Our tour happened to line up with a heat wave, but Frank did a great job of finding shady spots for us to stop at which helped to keep us cool. I would definitely book another tour next time we're in NYC. Thanks for a great day!

Holden was very knowledgeable. Shared lots of historical info as well as current day info about Brooklyn and made the ride much more interesting and fun. He was very nice and has a great smile.

We had the most fantastic day, interesting stories and great history of the different districts of Brooklyn. Frank answered all our questions(of which there were many) and helped us understand the way Brooklyners think. Would love to repeat the tour with this company when they have famous people from Brooklyn. Highly recommend to home wanting to see how this part of the city came to be.

Joined this group by accident because my boyfriend and I were lost, but by fate we found legit the best bike tour in NEW YORK!! We ended up on the tour of Brooklyn and our tour guide Brandon was Amazing. He was so knowledgeable, funny and guided us safely through the Brooklyn streets. We were on a mission to find this restaurant by the water and he went above and beyond to get us to our destination. We were guided through some of Brooklyns prime real estate, shown historic churches and movie scenes and even got to see New York’s only Red wood tree that was smuggled in from china that was still growing in Brooklyn heights!! It was my first time visiting New York and I will definitely rebook this tour when I return in the spring. I would love to see where he guides us to next??
