Great experience, really made our day. The whole family enjoyed it and it’s given us all a lovely memory of time spent together. The camels seemed well cared for. We visited Gran Canaria as part of our cruise so had to organise our own transfer from the port which was more expensive than expected. The taxi drivers like to haggle!

It was a lovely experience. The camels also seemed quite happy. I would definitely recommend doing this at least once. We went in January, so we didn’t have to wait long to ride the camels (~20 mins).

Booked our tickets through trip advisor which was very easy to do! Messaged the company to ask what time was the best time to come and had an answer very promptly advising to come early. Got a taxi from our hotel and arrived at 8.40 am and we were 2nd in the queue. Staff opened the gate at 9 am we went to register and was on the camels by 9.15. Fantastic trip through the dunes, really enjoyable! With the option of buying a picture at the end for £5 which is very reasonable compared to other trips we have been on . Very highly recommended thank you

Staff were friendly, made sure everyone was comfortable getting on and off camels. It’s central to Las Maspolamos bus station so easy to get to via public transport.

As previous reviewers have touched on the ticketing system is a little bit flawed. We went one day at midday only to find it was booked up for the rest of the day. Then we booked online and went first thing and it was really busy with a big queue. So I don’t know what the answer is really on the tickets. However, once we did the tour it was really enjoyable. The staff were really good and v kind to the camels. It was nice to see the dunes. My son and I had never gone camel riding before and were glad we did it. The camels weren’t smelly as others have written and they were v docile. I’d recommend this if you haven’t done it before but I’m not sure what to advise on timing!

Had to buy the tickets twice and hired a car to get there and was boring ah only did two small laps camels looked very unhappy

Really loved this experience. I'd paid ahead of time but you still have to book a time slot for your ride. All the other reviews advised getting there early as spaces fill up quickly but thanks to bus trouble, I arrived at about midday; not that it was a problem. I was accepted right away, with only a 10minute wait before riding - phew! The camels seemed to be well taken care of and weren't smelly at all, like everyone seems to believe. My camel's name was Richard (love it) and he was gentle, sweet and very chilled. The ride through the dunes itself was about 20 minutes long, at a comfortable pace that allows you to enjoy the views and the sea breeze. The trainers walk with you through the journey to guide the camel's and they seemed very knowledgeable and kind to the animals. As you leave the compound, you also have your picture taken by a member of staff, riding the camel's. You could pick them up at the end of the ride and they were a very decent price. Honestly, I loved every minute and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a lovely experience Richard and Co!

Wife and baby also humped around. Camels look happy enough. Had some wire muzzle on but I assume that stops them nibbling my ear. Otherwise full of sand, sun and smell. Super uncomfortable but at least I wasn’t lugging around 2 x 110kg sunburnt whales (tourists) on holiday so can’t complain. Would feel very sorry for the camel that would have to do that job. Worth doing once - now I’ve ridden a camel I won’t ever again though
