A fab walk , with a few stros tk climb , amazing scenery all the way. Beautiful flowers and waterfalls. A long dark tunnel at the starts, so bring a torch and warm top/ waterproof jkt and good walking shoes. No toilets, no food so go prepared.

An absolutely beautiful and diverse place to explore, been the best by far excursion I’ve ever been on. We had an amazing and very accomplished tour/mountain guide called Tiago, he was extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. When we return we will definitely book with him again so we can explore more of the Island. It’s a must!

I found this company on Google while searching for hikes. Most places only do for a maximum of 8 people but this company was very happy to accommodate our group of 10 . I did the booking after communicating through WhatsApp and paid a deposit rest was paid on the day of the hike. The guide and driver were both excellent. Walter and Elvio did a fabulous job. My husband was struggling due to knee issues and Walter looked after him so well. He was so patient and hiked with him all along the way

Our Mountain Guide Tiago made the whole experience perfect. He is professional, approachable, and supportive. I am 81 years old and an experienced hiker from Canada. This hike was an adventure yet safe. Gorgeous scenery, adventurous walk through the tunnel, and the waterfalls for lunch. I would recommend this hike and especially Tiago as your guide. His primary focus is safety while having a fun experience. He cares about his tourists. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed going with a small group of 6 with our fantastic guide, Luis Fernandes. We were surrounded by nature and could appreciate the sights, sounds, and smells of this fabulous natural spot in a way that would not have been possible with a bigger tour group. Luis gave us a lot of useful info on the landscapes and plants we were viewing. I wouldn’t do Rabaçal any other way!

Great day out with our guide Tiago. Really knowledgeable re the island and the hiking in the area. Group of 8 most over 55 yrs . Tiago was a great guide and got us to the main feature ahead of the crowds. The day was finished off at a real poncha bar, a lovely day walking , always felt safe and in good hands and so glad went in a small group.

Pedro was a very friendly and knowledgeable Guide, explaining the local flora and fauna. The Levadas walk itself isn‘t too difficult. Some altitude metres of course but totally doable for people with average fitness like me. Waterproof shoes and gear are a must through.

Nice walk and the pace was fine - relaxed for people used to hiking. Seeing the levada network was really interesting and the path was well maintained and sign posted. Mainly easy flat but some steps and the guide took us off piste up a steep bank. The guide didn’t provide much information and was not very talkative. I’d have been as happy saving the money and doing the walk ourselves unguided.

Pedro did a great job of sharing all he knows about the plant life and the levadas. We had a wonderful time. Great hiking adventure.
