Port Douglas
The next stop is the small seaside village of Port Douglas for short town tour before heading to Mossman Gorge on the southern edge of the Daintree World Heritage area. Here you’ll enjoy morning tea in the New Mossman Gorge Centre.
Mossman Gorge
Board a shuttle bus accompanied by your Naturalist or Eco/World Heritage accredited guide and head up to the national park for a guided walk in dense tropical rainforest. Enjoy the views over the huge granite boulders and crystal clear waters of the Mossman River. If time and weather permits you will be able to refreshing swim.

Heading further north and passing the sugar cane fields of North Queensland, stop for delicious lunch at the Daintree Tea House, the longest-established restaurant in the Daintree area that serves local produce of the highest standards.

After lunch, join a small and personalized cruise on the Daintree River. If you are lucky enough, you may even spot the elusive crocodile.

Shortly after, arrive at the Daintree River and board the cable ferry to cross this mighty river. The journey home gives you time to relax and reflect on your day before you are returned to your accommodation.
Thornton Beach
Continue further north, stopping at Marrdja or Jindalbe Boardwalk for a guided walk in one of the most bio-diverse areas in the Daintree Rainforest. From here, head to Cape Tribulation where two World Heritage areas meet – the Rainforest of the Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef.
Daintree Ice Cream Company
Leaving Cape Tribulation Beach, venture south back toward The Daintree River, stopping along the way at one of the Daintree Ice Cream Shops for afternoon tea. Here you will have the opportunity to sample locally made ice-cream featuring seasonal fruits of the tropics (at own expense).
Mount Alexandra Lookout
Continuing north along winding and picturesque road toward Cape Tribulation. Along the way you’ll see even more wonders of the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. A stop at the Alexandra Lookout is an opportunity to look back over the coastal road just traveled and take in the breathtaking views over the Daintree River mouth, Snapper Island and Low Isles.
