I’d skip this one. The only compliment was that it was on time. Gives a new meaning to “nothing to see here.”

Nice boat trip. Lovely weather. Comfortable and clean boat. We just sailed within the Bay but it was nice to see the boats and some swans. We went at a nice pace so we could take it in. We booked an afternoon tea trip for two. I’m sure the afternoon tea would have been lovely a few hours previously, but it had obviously been left out for a while as the sandwiches were going hard and the quiche had got warm as had the clotted cream. So we ate hardly anything. The coffee was undrinkable. Also the trip was advertised as a two hour trip and it was actually just over an hour and a half. The background music on repeat was dreadful - a compilation of covers of classic hits, slowed down. The member of staff on board spent much of his time on his phone. No one asked if our food was ok. I’d definitely go on another boat trip in the Bay again but I wouldn’t have food next time.

Lovely staff, took the trouble of finding and posting back my hat when I lost it on a lovely sunny trip around the bay. As I left the boat the informative skipper gave some very interesting history about Cardiff - more of this history on board please!

Very easy way to see the bay and time efficient. No frills. Would recommend. Price was fair. No snack bar on our trip

Awful experience, waste of money. Saw nothing of Cardiff that was described. Literally 45 minutes tour all you see is private boats, and stopping to pick people up which isn’t advertised.

Trop was OK, could not hear the commentary. Not much in the bay to see. Crew were very nice. Expected to see more.

Great boat trip around the Barrage. Wheelchair accessable, helpful staff to get on and off the boat. Thank you for making it a great day.

We enjoyed a boat tour over to the historic Flat Holm Island. It was explained that opportunities to visit this preserve can be limited due to weather and tide conditions, so grab a trip when you can, expect changes, and don't be late! Once deposited on the island, we thoroughly enjoyed the walking part; we were ages 10-75, and did not find the landscape to be too challenging. Our guide, Cath, was fabulous - and was totally committed to sharing the history of the island with others. One of the "highlights" of the trip (believe it or not!) was that the Lewis Alexander, that we were expecting to board for the trip, had broken down and we had to go over on a 12-seater RIB (inflatable)! Which especially pleased the young 'uns! A bit hard on the bum for the elders, but much enjoyed, nonetheless. Depending on the tides, there might be a bit of free time to explore the gull colonies, go hunting for the sheep, watch for rabbits, wonder about slow worms, or enjoy your own picnic lunch. But don't miss the boat going back!
