Jose Luis was a generous and informative guide. He led us on a guided tour through the entire city of Carmona and the adjacent Necroplis and had great knowledge of the culture and history. You can tell he loves what he does. He was patient with us too

Jose Luis (Pepe) was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and fun. Talked about Carmona and its history. A lot of fun facts about food and other cultural aspects. Wanted to try torta Inglesa, made by the monastery but they were sadly closed.

Our group consisted of just six people and our guide Peter. We enjoyed the tour , Peter was very friendly and gave us lots of information which made the visit more interesting than if we had gone by ourselves on public transport.

Peter and Enrique gave us a very interesting, informative tour of Carmona, despite Covid restrictions and a cycle race through the town which meant certain areas were closed off. They went out of their way to provide an excellent tour.

Ana our guide was enthusiastic and informative. We visited all the important sites and even bought an English Cake from a convent and ate it with coffee we purchased in the Market Square in Carmona. The outing would have been fantastic if it had been slightly longer and it had been possible to have lunch as well.

Actually, there was not enough people signed up for this tour so I was put into a tour to the ancient Roman city ruin of Italica instead. There were only 3 of us needing audio guide in English, the rest were Spanish speakers. I thought the tour guide handled it very well. It was impressive and I am very thankful for his effort. Italica was an interesting visit. I enjoyed walking inside the amphitheater and its service corridors underneath the brick/stone bleachers. It was also great to see the Roman drainage system from more than 2200 years ago perfectly preserved to this day. Unfortunately, the rest of Italica is barren - remains of knee-high brick walls and mosaic tile floors are pretty much all you see, and it is not easy to visualize how the city used to look like by just walking around the empty city blocks. We also visited a nearby monastery of historical significance from Christianity point of view. A stop at local pub for a shot of sweet orange wine was nice too.

We had a last minute chance to do a tour on our last day. Carmona sounded good. Waiting at the departure point with our ticket , asking each arriving bus - is this us - No they said , you've got Carlos. Next bus - same thing , you've got Carlos . he will be here soon. He was - and I have to say that Carlos was the most informative, communicative ,pleasant and amusing guide I have ever come across - in 25 years of travelling. It was therefore no surprise to find that he was in fact a history graduate and teacher. We explored the town of Carmona with its 3000 year old Necropolis , castle/ cathedral and convents - with hardly any tourists. As Carlos said - it is not on the radar of the big tourist companies - YET. The history of this town was amazing- and the recovery of the relics is to be commended The old village was really amazing and the renovated palace would have to be the best kept secret for accommodation. Next time in Spain , I think I will stay here Thanks Carlos - I know now how the Romans measured 1 carat for their gold (amongst other history gems) Very strongly recommended

We were very impressed with our tour guide, Miguel. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and enthusiastic!
Unfortunately, because of a lot of recent rain and downed trees, the Necropolis was not open the day we went. But Miguel substituted with taking us into the Fortress of the Gate of Seville. We had a full tour of the inside and went to the top and also he drove us around to the back gate, the Door of Cordoba.
We then went to a beautiful hotel that used to be a Palace.
Unbeknownst to Miguel, the Viator tour description was slightly different than his tour, so when we asked about the Santa Maria Church we were supposed to go to, he called his company and confirmed that was in our description. So, he took us to the church, which was his first time there too, and because of his historical background, he explained the highlights of the church.
An additional positive for the tour company, Naturanda Turismo Ambiental, we signed up for a group tour, but my husband and I were the only ones that signed up for the trip but they did not cancel on us...we had a private tour at a group price!
