St. Peter's Basilica

You will start the tour in St. Peter’s square, where you will enter St Peter's Basilica, the church par excellence! Inside the great basilica the guide will let you discover the famous statue of Pietà by Michelangelo, the baroque Bernini's baldachin, the tomb of St. Peter, the tomb of Pope John Paul II and Christina of Sweden’s funeral monument, one of the few funeral monuments dedicated to a woman. Kindly note that we don't provide skip-the-line tickets to the Basilica, it is a sacred place and it is for free, therefore we kindly ask you to be patient at the entrance.

Santa Maria Maggiore

After that, the driver will pick-you up and you will be visiting the roman basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore; here you will be stunned by the gorgeous mosaics of the Middle Ages, you will enter in two of the main chapels, namely Cappella Sforza and Cappella Paolina. Inside the basilica you will also see the relics of the manger under the high altar, the Holy Stairs and artist Bernini’s tomb.

Basilica di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme

Always with the driver, you will then continue with the visit of the Church of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, here the guide will lead you to the discovery of relics: a piece of the Cross of Christ, a spina of the Crown of Christ. You will admire the beautiful painting by Alessandro Romano in the apse, you will then venture underground at the discovery of Saint Helen’s chape

Arcibasilica di San Giovanni in Laterano

You will finally walk to the Basilica of Saint John Lateran, your last stop, Saint John is the most important cathedral of Rome. You will visit, among beautiful chapels, the relics of Saints Peter and Paul and the ancient Cloister. The guide will deliver information on Borromin’s baroque niches of the central nave.
