Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon

(Pass by)

Constructed between 1767 and 1771, this site acted as military headquarters in Charleston, as is where three signers of the Declaration of Independence were imprisoned during the Revolutionary War. Bar Vauté

This building housed a bank for almost 150 years, and has been a bar and restaurant since 2013. While not necessarily haunted, while enjoying your drink here, learn of the legend of the Boo Hag, a big part of the Gullah culture of the area.

Honestly our tour guide was thrown to the wolves, she did the best she could BUT we couldnt get into half the bars and when we did they told us we had to split a check with 18 strangers. It was set up soooo poorly and frankly what a waste of our time. MOST of the time when you do a pub crawl you have bars that the tour guide didnt have to beg for u to get in.

Do not recommend it. Did not stick to the itinerary and didn't do a good job with the ghost stories. A little boring. Took 7s to restaurants that were loud and we could barely here him tell his rehearsed stories.

Tour guide was late, waited in rain even longer for other guests. Totally unorganized, Pub stops had no idea we were coming and could not accommodate. Tour guide was not personable, hard to hear and stories were not interesting. We left the tour after the second stop.
