This chef-guided market tour takes a journey through Pacific Northwest culture by tasting Seattle’s best artisan vendors in the famous Pike Place Market. Enjoy diverse tastings at 9 different locations— and food options like chocolate covered cherries, chowder, and much more. All groups are kept to 11 guests to ensure easier navigation of the market, more tastings, and a better platform to ask questions and interact with the group. Leave with a 10% discount card to shop and explore after the tour.

*Note that tours stops may adjust depending on time of year and guide.

This is a walking tour that does require a moderate amount of physical fitness due to distance, small hills, stairs and cobblestone terrain.

We don't recommend this tour for those following a vegan, dairy free or gluten free diet as we can't accommodate at all stops. This is a market tour that includes walking/standing and not a restaurant tour with a variety of food alternatives and sitting opportunities.

The selection of establishments was excellent, the food was worthy, and our guide was fun and informative!

Host chef was friendly and the tour was well organized. We got to sample several different shops in the market place and got to taste some unique local foods. I was a bit disappointed however in the variety and specialness of the foods. I might have had unreasonably high expectations and am not upset but not excited about it either. Much of the tour however felt like a sales pitch for all of the merchants in the market which I wasn't in to. Those looking to shop it more might find the information useful.

I enjoyed going into new places and trying new foods. We were able to sample foods without standing in long lines or committing to a full serving. The commentary was interesting and the right balance.

Pike Place Market seems fascinating, but this tour was nothing special. We got a lot of information about the tour guide's life, his children, and even his girlfriend's gluten intolerance and how it has impacted their relationship. We did not get: a history of the market, why it has had to be "saved" over the years, or how it is connected to the local food scene. The stops we made were sort of disappointing: best was the cheese maker and the one fresh fish seller. Others seemed to be a motley assortment of businesses that he was friendly with and/or gave him freebies. After several people on our tour purchased alcohol at one stop, he suddenly had an alcoholic drink in his hand, too. When he stopped to give a recommendation to Rocky Mountain Chocolates, which is in every mall in America, I really wondered how he chose the establishments he endorsed! Save your $65 and discover this market on your own!
