Quentin was very knowledgeable, accessible and entertaining. So much history! Someone needs to test the audio sets; mine was terrible. Consider using potentiometer cleaner spray on the volume knobs, lt could help to avoid replacing a lot of them.

Amanda was the tour guide of the “L” train. The view of the buildings was from a different vantage point than a regular walking tour. She had a historical perspective on the train, the buildings. She combined interesting information and a wonderful presentation. I felt I gleaned a lot of historical perspective of the foundation of Chicago along with the political climate that formed the building of the city as we know it today.

This was a last minute tour, when visiting family Thanksgiving week. Quentin was a wealth of knowledge and genuinely enjoyed giving us the tour and sharing his knowledge. We would definitely recommend!

Whether you are interested in architecture, Chicago history or just want an opportunity to hear from locals who love their City... Any one of the tours offered by the CAC is worth the time and money. I bought membership which offered my the opportunity do tours at no additional cost ... And I enjoyed all five I did. The docents ... All volunteers ... Are generous with their time and their knowledge. Next visit to Chicago .... I will do more!

Loved the history of the buildings / stories of people who built Chicago, even the scoundrel Yerkes. Different perspective from the boat tour, would recommend a CAC walking tour to discover Chicago.

David was great and very knowledgeable! We are Chicago residents and learned things we didn’t know. A great way to see the city!

Absolutely delightful and jammed with fascinating information--both about the architecture you see from the platforms to the incredible story of how the L came to be. The guide was so knowledgeable about construction, transportation planning, and even how the L was built (small pieces of steel, lots of rivets)! And a lovely man, too. We took three CAC tours on our week in Chicago (May, 2023) and each was fantastic. Also, visit the CAC!
