    Unbelievable day with Gianmaria! Six of us toured Cinque Terre in a private minivan It was like traveling with a friend. Gian was very knowledgeable as well as accommodating and always professional. His recommendations were great! He took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. We were back at the ship on time we would definitely tour with him again. You will not be sorry!

    Gianmaria is an excellent tour guide. He was flexible when we had a last minute change in port docking location and was waiting for us. He drove us to Manarola and we took a ferry to Vernassa and then on by car. He gave us history and interesting facts along the way, even pointing out the leaning tower of Pisa. This was a private tour with just two couples and we felt very taken care of. He was personable and picked us a very picturesque restaurant overlooking the water for lunch. If you are looking for a small group tour, you cannot go wrong with Gianmaria!

    Gianmaria and his colleague Valerio are amazing. In the days leading up to the cinque terre trip, they were predicting rain. Gianmaria stayed in touch and when it was clear it would be rained out, he suggested we instead go to Pisa and Volterra. We met Gianmaria who is the best guide you could ask for. Fun, friendly, knowledgeable. We visited Pisa and Volterra and had a beautiful private lunch at a family winery, which was magnificent. The next day, our son had to go back to school, so my husband and I did the Cinque Terre trip with Valerio. He was also a fantastic guide in every possible way. After my husband and I hiked Corneglia, he brought us to a beautiful restaurant, and I had one of the best meals I’ve ever had on my 3 trips around Italy. We’ve done many private tours in different cities—Gianmaria and Valerio are outstanding. They felt like friends and were just the best—so accommodating, knowledgeable, fun to be with and helpful. You won’t find a more perfect tour company or better guides!

    Full disclosure we didn’t get to take the tour. But I have to tell you that the service communication and flexibility exhibited by this tour company is simply amazing and deserves recognition. At the last minute we were told by our cruise line MSC that we would only be allowed to disembark if we did not do tours with them. This was sprung on us last minute and despite being inside the 24 hour cancellation Gianmaria from this tour company was willing to give me a 100% refund. He also communicated with me in great detail upfront, answered questions and was very proactive throughout the entire planning of my trip. We were very much looking forward to this private tour but unfortunately it didn’t happen but rest assured when we return to this area we will be looking up this tour company and doing all of our tours with them. Thank you Gianmaria!

    Gianmaria is a wonderful guide and we had a great day visiting the villages of Cinque Terre! His English is impeccable and he even has our idioms and slangs mastered. His driving skills were amazing up and down the narrow winding roads. You will throughly enjoy your day in Italy with Gianmaria!

    What to expect

    Porto Venere

    We will start with a visit of the stunning village of Portovenere, known as the gateway to the Cinque Terre national park. You will have free time to stroll around the village and take nice pictures!

    Vernazza

    We will then head to Vernazza, known for its colourful architecture and shops. Free time!

    Corniglia

    Then off to Corniglia, the only one built on top of the cliffs. Prepare your camera to take amazing pictures of the Cinque Terre coastline.Time for lunch available.

    Monterosso al Mare

    Last village and the largest is Monterosso, divided in 2 parts, the old town and the modern town. You will have time to stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere of this amazing area!

    Manarola

    We might opt to visit also Manarola if time allows (the road is very steep and you will decide the same day of the tour together with our driver if you wish to stop here! ) - This is an optional stop.
