A well preserved town of the Middle Ages built by the Carraresi lords of Padua in the years 1220-21 where they create their military and administrative strategic center. The position of this walled town is at the intersection of two important roads: the one that connects Padua to Bassano from south to north, and the road that is the directrix from Treviso to Vicenza that goes from east to west. This second road was part of the larger system of the Roman Decumanus Maximus Via Postumia. The main attraction of this town are the walls where the walkway still entirely viable.
