    I called early in the morning and was able to get on afternoon tour. Guide was Shannon. She seemed very knowledgeable about the park and was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

    We have been to the Smokies several times in the past but have never had a tour of the mountains. This tour was a great way to see the Smokies and learn the history of the mountains. Our tour guide/driver was Wes and he provided a lot of gorgeous locations for us to view the mountains and get a history of the area. He stopped at several locations including The Chimney's, Newfound Gap, and Clingman's dome. He's driving was very smooth and he did wait to get us up to Clingman's dome hoping the fog would have lifted which it partially did. He also drove us through Elkmont to see the houses that used to be own by the wealthy from Knoxville. We had an amazing time and I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get a good look and history of the mountains.

    Wes was our tour guide and was super knowledgeable, fun and great to show us around the national park. Both kids and adults loved all the facts and info we got. We will definitely be doing another tour with Wes in the future since they offer so many. Definitely do it if you’re in town!

    Elkmont Ghost Town

    We'll hike along one of the mightiest rivers in Great Smoky Mountains National Park as we learn about the history of the founding of the park and how the lives of loggers, CCC workers, pioneer farmers, and the earliest mountain recreational visitors intersected.

    Newfound Gap Road

    Newfound Gap Road is one of the most scenic drives in the southeast. We'll make the 13-mile long drive out of the Sugarlands Valley while we learn about the people, plants, animals, and history of the Great Smoky Mountains. Along the way we'll stop at several scenic overlooks for photos of the towering mountains and dark, shaded valleys.

    Newfound Gap

    Deep in the mountains at a height of more than 5,000 feet we'll stand on the state line while looking down the the Sugarland Valley to our north and the Oconaluftee Valley to the south. The famous 2,200 mile-long Appalachian Trail passes through this point next to the stone stage where President Franklin Roosevelt gave the Great Smoky Mountain National Park dedication.
