To begin, we will meet at your hotel or the nearby point that we have arranged, to move to Córdoba.

Torre de la Calaforra

We will begin the walking tour of the Historic Center of Córdoba from this small medieval fortress that controlled access to the bridge. From here we will also enjoy a beautiful view of the city.

Roman Bridge

We will cross the Guadalquivir river using the 2000 year old bridge built by the Romans in the city of Cordoba. Here is included the time it will take to move from one place to another

Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba

The old Greater Mosque of Córdoba, the current Cathedral of Córdoba. An essential building, the most important monument in the Islamic West. A temple where the history and the historical architecture of the city are summarized. Here is included the time it will take to move from one place to another

Luca was wonderful driver and guide for our trip from Seville to Cordoba. He picked us up in a BMW on time at 0900 at the entrance to the nearest parking lot, which is just a 3-minute walk from our hotel. (Most cars a too wide for the streets in the Barrio.) He is very personable and fluent in English as well as the Spanish way of life. He was especially good at showing us the back streets, alleys, and small decorated courtyards of the locals. At the Mezquita, we picked up our guide, Azaferra, certified by the Catholic Church to give tours of this historic site. The immensity and beauty of the site is impossible to describe and must be seen. Azaferra took us through every step of its constructions and modifications over several hundred years. I would strongly recommend Azaferra as a guide for the Mezquita. Luca then brought us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch where we shared dishes of ox tail meat, leeks, and egg plant. This was followed by an excellent tour of the other sites in the area and ended with a tour of the Roman bridge. I would strongly recommend Luca as a chauffeur and guide. You will not be disappointed.

Enrique was a I wonderful tour guide through Cordova. He had so much incredible knowledge and selected a perfect restaurant for lunch. I would highly recommend this tour and taking it with Enrique if you have the chance.

Great private tour with Lucas. Enjoyable ride from Seville to Cordoba with Lucas sharing lots of interesting information about the area. In Cordoba, we started with a walk over the Roman bridge and then saw some amazing courtyards beautifully decorated as they get ready for the competition in May. The highlight of the day was the tour of La Mezquita. Our local tour guide Olivia did a terrific job covering the history of this mosque/church and all the expansions that were done. It is a site not to be missed!!!! Fascinating architecture and just amazing how the mosque and church are integrated. While we were touring La Mezquita, Lucas booked us lunch at El Rincon de Carmen. Great place and Lucas helped us pick some great tapas. Afterwards we toured the old Jewish quarter and one of the slightly newer sections with lots of palaces still in use, plus the palace now designated for cats, before heading back to Seville. What a great day!!!!

The tour of Cordoba was great. We had a good amount of time in the Great Mosque and other sites - I did’t feel rushed. Our tour guide, Enrique, was very knowledgeable, prompt and considerate. He made the day interesting and fun and I feel I got a good sense of the city. Would recommend him as a guide.

My day trip to Córdoba from Sevilla with Enrique was terrific! His knowledge of and passion for Adalucian history, archaeology, and culture are impressive. I especially enjoyed his guided tour of the fascinating archaeological site Madinat al-Zahra, and we both enjoyed imagining the "Shining City" in its glory! I also loved visiting the amazing, gorgeous Mezquita in Cordoba. I wish I had had another few days to explore Córdoba and also the visit Enrique's ancient and historic hometown of Carmona! ¡Muchas gracias, Enrique!
