Our hosts Isabel and David were very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the information shared by Isabel during our trip. With a small group of 8 people, the tour was very pleasant.

Isobel and David were such great hosts. I really enjoyed all the stories and Isobel made the Cotswold region come alive for me. Visiting in winter gave Cotswold a magical feel and relatively smaller crowds meant I could experience the peace and beauty of Cotswold. A must try!

We enjoyed a beautiful day exploring Cotswold villages and learnt a lot from our informative guide. The van was clean and our driver very skilled and courteous.

We had a great tour with our guide, Isabel. The group was small, and the vehicle was comfortable with plenty of space and window views. Isabel had such a pleasant and engaging voice. We enjoyed listening to all that she had to share about the Cotswolds. She was well-versed in the history of each site, and gave us tips and historical/entertainment references along the way. The tour was well-paced with enough time at each stop to get outside, walk around, take photos, purchase food, and then enough time to sit in the car between stops. We felt like we had a small genuine experience at each stop.

Sorry for the late review but this tour was so good, I couldn't skip posting a review. We took the Cotswold Adventurer tour in Fall 2022. We wanted to see the Cotswold countryside but were having a hard time finding a good way to see the most without renting a car since public transit isn't ideal for this sort of itinerary. We hunted around for good local tours and felt so lucky to find Cotswold Exploring. This is a fantastic local small-vehicle tour company that specializes in tours around Oxford and the Cotswolds and we had a great day with them. They picked us up in Oxford and we were off to Bampton, which is a small village featured in Downton Abbey but is hard to get to on its own. David was a very friendly driver and Isobel gave lots of great context as to what we were seeing along the way. We made our way to Bibury, Winchcombe, and Stow-on-the-Wold during our big day but the tour was never rushed and David and Isobel always wanted to know if there was something we were interested in or if we wanted a little extra time at a particular town or coffee shop. Even driving from town to town proved interesting as David could navigate the smaller roads unavailable to big tour buses and Isobel could point out local items of interest from historic pubs to celebrity estates in the area. We really did have a great day and covered a lot of ground with Cotswold Exploring. If you prefer a better experience than being bussed around with large tour groups and appreciate supporting a good local business, definitely give Cotswold Exploring a try. We're very grateful for the experience!

Isabelle and David were an amazing team, professional and knowledgeable in every way. They ran the day like clockwork without a snag of any kind and were informative, friendly, and full of great suggestions for where to get a bite, etc, whenever we had time to walk around some of the villages. I’ve taken many day trips with tour guides in the past and this team ranks was among the very best!

What an informative and lovely trip to the Cotswolds! Owner Isabel assisted us promptly via email days before when we realized our train from London had been cancelled.. She recommended an alternative bus to Oxford. Her husband David, the driver, arrived on time and really knew the roads, including how to avoid an accident ahead. Tour guide Tabby could answer all of our curious questions and filled us in on things we didn't even think to ask. The countryside is picturesque and we had time to stop for photos and lunch. We had a pleasant day enjoying the Cotswolds!

Finding a tour of the Cotswolds in the winter took a lot of work, so I was thrilled to have discovered Cotswold Exploring. Isabelle and David were fantastic guides, full of interesting information and very flexible if anyone wanted to stop or stay a bit longer in a village. We had a memorable day and can't wait to return. Thank you.

Isabelle and David were fantastic guides. Full of interesting information, they both ensured our trip through the Cotswold was memorable. The Cotswold in February was surprisingly beautiful. The early spring flowers were stunning with the added bonus of slightly fewer crowds. Thanks for a great day. We can't wait to come back.

Isobel and David Lewis provided an excellent tour of the Cotswolds! The commentary provided was very informative and interesting, and our family of 6 (adult children) loved our stops on the tour, along with the small group setting. Isobel and David were also very kind and accommodating during our stay in the Cotswolds. We would heartily recommend this tour and were very happy that we had booked the Cotswolds Winter Adventurer.
