Nature Reserve of Scandola
The Scandola Nature Reserve, on the west coast of Corsica, is an exceptional UNESCO World Heritage site, extending over approximately 900 hectares and including both a maritime and terrestrial area. The geology of this reserve is remarkable with spectacular rock formations resulting from a mixture of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. The cliffs, caves and rock formations plunge into crystal clear waters, home to rich biodiversity while the diverse flora includes endemic species adapted to the extreme conditions of the rocky coastline.
Girolata
Girolata is a small picturesque village located between Porto and the Scandola nature reserve, the particularity of which is that it is only accessible by boat or by a hiking trail. Famous for its authentic charm and preserved character, you can observe the recently renovated Genoese fort. A free stopover of 30 minutes will allow you to stroll around the village, refresh yourself in one of the establishments
