Miradouro Pico Dos Barcelos
The Pico dos Barcelos Viewpoint is approximately 355 meters above sea level. From this point there is a splendid panoramic view over Funchal bay and the city area, with the Desertas Islands in the background.
Curral das Freiras
Situated in a deep valley and encircled by steep mountain slopes, the parish of Curral das Freiras is located 29 kilometres from the municipal seat of Câmara de Lobos. Most of the buildings in the parish overlook the main valley, with the steep hillsides encircling the parish used for the cultivation of cherries and chestnut trees.
Miradouros Do Paredao
Paredão Viewpoint is located in the parish of Curral das Freiras , in Montado do Paredão an area which was subject to intensive reforestation works.
Pico do Arieiro
Pico do Arieiro, at 1,818 m (5,965 ft) high, is Madeira Island's third highest peak.[2] Most days, visitors can stand and look down on the clouds. The air is fresh and clear and the sun is very bright. On a clear day it is possible to see the neighbouring island of Porto Santo, 30 miles to the northeast.
