Had a great day out, learned a lot about the history of David Bowie and the Rock ‘n Roll era in the 60’s & 70’s. Grant was absolutely knowledgeable and passionate and knew everything there was to know about David Bowie and others musicians he was involved with at the time. It was interesting to hear about who was who in those days and the relationships between Bolan, Elton John and Tony Visconti. Definitely 5 star tour but I’d say 10 stars to Grant.

Grant takes you on a journey starting from Bowie’s early days in Brixton, through to Soho, where so many of his iconic songs were written & recorded. Along the way he effortlessly recalls dates, names & stories about concerts, chance meetings & relationships of some of the greats from the music scene spanning back to the 60’s. Marc Bolan, John Lennon, Elton John, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney……the list is endless. A must for any music fan.

Recently attended Grants Bowie Golden Years Tour, having previously been along to his Rock and Roll tour. Grant has a great enthusiasm and knowledge of his subjects (confesses to being a Bowie nut!). We started the tour in Brixton, moved on to the Soho area. Grant shared his knowledge with a great sense of humour, we learnt not only about Bowie’s early years, but cleverly interjected facts on how he mixed with other musicians and bands of the era. Highly recommended.
